Hi, I alway's wanted to know how to do that type of hairstyle without BACK COMBING!!!! Although I would like to know, would it make a difference to the outcome if you had thick thick THICK long hair like me? (and long).
Thank you so much! I hate backcombing, so I won't do it, but I really wanted to add some of the height to my hair. I tried the hairstyle along with you and it worked, I know if I have all the right tools it will look perfect next time!
wow, this was really helpful! I was about to start teasing my hair (which i hate to do), thankfully i watched this. I'll probably need a thousand more pins than you though, haha, i have such a small amount of hair it's ridiculous.
Also, a question, is it a problem if you have a lot of layers? Thanks! xo
Well I have long layers in my hair and I don't find that it is a problem. But I imagine that if you have lots of short layers, you will need to use lots of hairspray or possibly some other sort of fixative to hold it all together.
I did it! I did the bum with an added hairpiece though since I have very fine and scarce hair (too me 16 bobby pins and tons of spray to hold it together). It looked great! Everyone at the party loved it! :) Kudos to you!
This style is easier than the Amy Winehouse version I have up. Probably the most simple is the new 30 second Victory rolls I've recently posted. I'm so pleased these are working well for everyone. I'll have to come up with more now. :)
Thank you. I do all the dark colour myself, but I have the hairdresser do the bleaching. It is to dangerous to do it myself as it can get quite fragile. I've even had a few disasters with it and my old hairdresser. So there is less length there than there should be!
I tried this out just the other day and was really impressed - too cute! I want to also give it a whirl by putting up the loose bits of hair into a little chignon or bun at the back. Thankyou substitute-much-more-fashionable-mother-than-mine! I might drop you a picture of it next time I get a chance to do it again.
oh yeah i watched that video , it looks REALLY nice , but i think it's a little too big for a musical. but yeah do you have any other 1960's hairstyles?
The hairspray is called CEDEL, it has been around for YEARS here, and is the same one my grandmother used. Nothing special, just a supermarket brand, but I love the packaging and the way it smells. :)
Good Idea w the bun 2 avoid teasing the hair, but sloppy job at doing your hair....
