i attented a school in asia where islam was predominant;, up till i was 17.. and oh gawwdd this video really brings me back a lot of awful old memories... you suck =(
Have you always questioned your religion? Since a young age? Was it the bullshit they tried to pull at these schools that caused you to question the logic of religion? Because if I went to the schools like these, Holy Fuck, I'd put a gun to my head with all the strangling religion.
LOL i'm looking forward to this series. ANd i like this picture with the Windows of Heaven... cause it looks like god can see everything we do but only looking down at 30 to 50 degree angle.
I lol'd, mostly because I relate to these kind of agonizing experiences. I had to go through this kind of thing plus worse over the course of 12 years.
I'm just going to hit 'post comment' before I start RAEGING.
I have to go through "Confirmation" and I think I'll challenge everything that the teacher has to say. After all, knowledge is a sin.
I had to go through Catechism (only once a week...but it sucks) from 2nd-6th grade...now I have to start again!!!
And I have "long" hair for a guy...so I guess that if my teacher says for me to get a haircut, I can tell her to such my dick because her "Lord" had longer friggen hair.
Just curious - you say you "have" to go through the confirmation. Is there a reason? I had to go through it as my home town was deeply catholic and I enjoy the windows of my house remaining intact. As well, they managed to link the grade mark for "religion class" to it. Indoctrination anyone?
Anyway, if I had the choice, I would not have done it at all. I don't believe in any of that garbage.
I "have" to because I still want to have my balls while I am alive. My parents would probably keep me tied to a chair staring at a cross if I said "No".
Somehow when I was a kid, I believed that we evolved from apes AND I believed in the whole Adam and Eve/Noah's flood shit. Obviously I wasn't very educated on either side.
damn Mark, I thought growing up mormon was bad, but I only had to suffer through one hour a day of religious bullshit (they call it seminary) and not my entire school day on it.
This vid did remind me much of the week-long church camps, but I can't imagine a full school year of that shit.
Heh...funny, I attended a catholic school from the 5th to the 9th grade. But religion always remained in the church, and was never mixed into the science classes.
Portuguese government to all schools, even the private religious ones: "don't want to teach the government curriculum? Don't want to use real text-books? Don't want to use national final exams? Well then, your students' academic qualifications will never be recognized. They won't even be able to get their drivers' licenses. MUHAHAHA!"
"I think these schools have to use government-approved textbooks. "
O....K.... I was unaware that those creationist books were actually approved by the US government.
Well, I'd love to laugh at you and your problem with creationist fucktards taking over your country, but we have our own ...ehem... islam related problem here in Europe :(.
Having four wives is appealing, but the rest of sharia law isn't so sweet and cuddly.
lol I went to a Christian school...was taught creation instead of evolution in 10th grade..had to wear uniforms (girls had to wear plaid skirts) and weren't allowed to dye our hair "un natural" colors. We could wear jewelry though.
I feel sorry for the people who attended and graduated from that school.

I'm more worried about Europe than The U.S.
America is becoming increasingly atheistic. You might say we've got nowhere to go but up in that respect. Europe is already fairly atheistic.
