You want everybody to donate to you?? Why .....since everything was so damn funny to you that you had to keep laughing as the town was being destroyed. It's all a big joke, huh?
Now that was quite scary! Especially seeing that you guys were swiped by the most-dangerous right hand side of the tornado's vortex! You guys were lucky I think that the roof and ceiling didn't peel right off. Because when those windows blow in, the wind rushing in can pressurize the building, just like what happens when you inflate a balloon. That is the surest way for wind to tear off the roof and even collapse exterior walls.
Luke 21:25 "There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and there will be distress on earth among the nations that are confused by the roaring of the sea and its waves.Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
@secseay I've been next to a tornado before- not only was I praying to God, I had plenty of OMG's, Oh shits, and holy f**ks coming out of my mouth and I don't normally cuss. You don't know what's going to come out of your mouth when you face one of those.
I applaud your courage in waiting for a tornado this close. But I must say you were both very stupid and very lucky. You could have been killed. Im sure many people died doing similar actions that you did.
@cdcollura While I agree with the "very lucky that your location did not take a direct hit" comment..... I challenge the 278 MPH winds comment...... NWS survey stated peak winds of 190 MPH...... either way, very strong.
@Towny06 Tornadoes at EF5 strength can still have winds up to 300 MPH but with the new scale they usually just mention 200 MPH winds since structures are destroyed at these speeds anyways. I'm not sure about the 278 MPH report either. Worth doing more research into.
@brfts2001 I don't mean to be argumentative but no further research is required - This was an EF4 not EF5 and the peak winds were estimated at 190mph. That's it.... the research is complete.
@cdcollura Hey Chris, This is fellow chaser Joel Ewing out in Tucson. I didn't know that this nader had peak winds around 278. Was that near the surface, or higher up? I know the 5-3-99 OKC F-5 had a peak of 318, but that was supposedly a thousand feet up the funnel. Did you chase any of this outbreak?
Some of the closest tornado footage yet from this deadly storm! You guys looked like you were in at least 100 MPH winds there after the 2 minute mark.
@PrettiMamita I agree, and was thinking the same thing about the laughter being inappropriate. But some folks laugh just out of nervousness. My guess this was the latter.
@WickedTornado Thats true before it hit I was smiling and laughing trying to pysch myself out but as it hit right on top of us I felt like I was so stressed I was going to have a heart attack. 6 months later I have dreams of this tornado and have panic attacks when the sky turns gray.
Awesome cool

The laughter you guys is people trying to fool themselves into thinking they are not in danger.

THIS IS WHY PEOPLE STILL DIE IN TORNADOES. THEY LAUGH AT THEM, WHILE THE TORNADO MAKES COMPOST OF HALF A TOWN.

It took a lot of guts to film that monster. Luckily ya'll weren't directly hit by the tornado. It must have passed only about 100 yards from ya'll.

You guys are VERY lucky that your location did not take a direct hit!
This tornado had winds around 278 MPH at peak intensity.
The winds at YOUR location were probably just over 100 or so (on the edge of it).
Very impressive stuff.
