  • Kyle, I never expected the performance you put on at the Haiti Benefit last Saturday at Fair Oaks!! You will be known as one the greats. And I have your first CD!! Signed even!!! Thank you so much for playing at the benefit. You rocked the roof off the place!!!

  • tell that kid to stop stealing from kim wilson!

  • Yeah right! just as soon as you tell Kim Wilson to stop stealing from Sonny Boy Williamson II

  • @blooziman

Couldent have said it better myself.

    GREAT COMMENT

  • I don't see anything related to Kim there and I know my brother quite well....

  • wow! he's your brother?!, so you got to be right! lucky you!

  • yes I'm lucky and very proud of him. You take any of those successful harp players including John Nemeth and if you've listened to guys like Big Walter, Little Walter Sonny Boy, William Clarke, George Smith, Estrin, Hummel, and bunch more you'll hear their influences. Kim like most of the greats have their influences but still have their own style imbedded in their total sound. Just my opinion.....

  • totally agree with you on that, I also think he made a huge jump on his career; don't know exactly when, but probably when he began playing solo; what I mean is, I doubt he really enjoyed what he use to play back in the old days with the fabulous thunderbirds, he said it himself on an interview (something like he had to move the crowd and get them on their feet, before playing some real blues), and I think he'd rather play an old blues like Early in the morning than playnin Powerful stuff

  • @12nites12 That's probably true in hindsight but during that period of the T-Birds it was quite exciting and they influenced a lot of music. Kim still tours with his T-Birds but their style has evolved into more soul infused blues. They still play some of the hits people demand.

I opened for Kim the other night for the first time and believe me it was intense opening for his grammy nominated band Kim Wilson's Blues Revue, Billy Flynn, Barrelhouse Chuck, Larry Taylor, Richard Innes.

  • love u lots --kaijah
