This phone SUCKS!! Had it less that 6mths before I had to re-turn it "2" times! Then they took it off the shelf before the end of the year was out!! Nokia no longer has my support on any of their phones!

alright, its down to 2 phones, this one here or the LG Xenon, i just want it to do lots of texting and calling, im only 13 and do not have a data plan, so i do not care about any of the internet, etc. Money is a little tight but i need it to last me atleast a year or so

good review i learned alot more about the phone then i knew but i actualy love the design like Avrelsg said "its unique! nothing like it" and personaly i dont think of it as so moch "old school" only because they never really hade slide phones. but i think its a good phone and all but i DO NOT agree with the fact that u think its an ugly phone but otherwise good review :)

I like the old Nokia's but the Surge disappointed me. I owned the 6350, 6555, then the 6650. The Surge is less. I liked the 6650. The worst feature for me is the navigation button. It and I have major issues. Am saving for the new Backflip

I agree with this review. This is a good breakdown of the device.

Nokia releases top notch designs, but failed with this one.

But the Phone and task capabilities is up there with the rest of the smart phones.

i would think the lip that "looks awkward" or "ugly" is to help one slide out the keyboard / slide up the screen. It doesn't look too bad besides having a small screen... and the glossy finish is not the best looking material. i would have given it atleast a 4/5.

for me, the phone looks good

pretty cool for text messaging, and maybe also for listening music

but for watching video, nu-uh, the video quality isnt very good coz blurry

the internet is slow

if you looking for phone that need high speed internet, go for Iphone 3gs or maybe blackberry.

if you want a phone that good 4 watch video, play games, surf internet, Iphone is better than Surge

its only my opinion though, wait till you get it you will see :D
