What of the (In the can till '78) "Who Is The Leader Of The People?" (by Zesses/Fekaris)? It's obvious that considerable lyrical content is absent from 'finished' product..in juxtaposition to the '72 Edwin Starr version.
Also, does the Starr version run longer than what was on 45? Starr's fades out midway whist Meat's version goes to a full stop.
I can't answer the question. A lot went down when Motown Detroit folded. The re-release of the Stoney and Meatloaf album was an embarrasment. I was never sure who was responsible for putting that one together, but I do know it was done by the L.A. operation. Terrible!
When Meat hits that long note near the end of the song, it was so loud, more of his voice was coming through the studio glass than the speakers. We broke down laughing and told him he had radiators for lungs.
