I used lots of cheat codes on pearl, including getting a level six mew and raising it with super exp code. Luckily I never ran into a bad egg. In platinum i havent used codes yet because i lost my gameshark.... Anyway i was a lucky one, so dont cheat too much.
I've heard it deletes your file if you let it hatch in Sphire/Ruby/Emereld, but I don't know anything about this version. If you look around enough, you might be able to figure it out. But, either way, it's probably a bad idea to catch it----- glitches usually cause problems when caught(remember missingno).

what is the point of cheating in pokemon anyway, probably easiest game i ever played and if you are really desperate to have good pokemon team you can always trade for it online without using cheats.
some people may have missed a pokemon event & cheat for that legendary they missed out on or to walk through walls or to catch a shiny to compensate that they don't have one. we have ar. but i don't use any cheats that ruin the fun, just the ones that won't be a pain in the ass later. my sister on the other hand....
true but you can still get all the pokemon you missed by trading, and messing around with cheats can be fun and all but still not worth loosing your save since some people have same save for years.

I found a Missingno while using an AR code for wild pokemon modifier. It was at lvl. 68. When I caught it the game froze and when I reseted it the save file was corrupted..... Now I have to start all over again! This happened in Platinum...

Why? Because if you give one of your Master Balls to a Pokemon, the number of them won't go down. It will stay at 493. If you take the Master Ball, the number won't go up either, it will be at 493 permanantly

It froze because it's supposingly 495 in the Pokedex which does not yet exist so sorry you'll never sucsessfully catch it without it freezing it is supposed to freeze when that happens...
I guess you could trick the game into thinking it was another pokemon, and then change it back after viewing that pokemon's pokedex entry. Or better still, you could trick the game into thinking that you have already viewed Bad EGG's pokedex entry, skipping the whole process altogether. But it would probably lead to further complications anyway...

in my diamond game, I had two lvl 4 Geodudes. I put them in the day care and the man said they had an egg. I took the egg and a step later it hatched into a geodude. then I took another step and an egg hatched into a geodude! it just kept hatching into geodudes! it was freaky. soon I turned off the game... Ummmmmm... I hacked on my Diamond, so that a Bad Egg is on 1st place, 1st box. But mine never hatches. I even used the cheat Quick Egg Hatch. But it won´t hatch. It has item Earth Plate, PKRS, and an Arceus should hatch out of it. Please, help me!!!
Its a glitch originally found in RSE (I think?) games. It has the same sprite as a regular Egg, but is much worse than simply bringing you a new Pokemon for yourself. In most cases, it NEVER EVEN HATCHES. If it did, it would simply be another Bad Egg or might end up as a more recent version of Missingno from the Red/Blue games, probably a circle with a ? inside or two ?? by themselves. They are pretty much evil and have one main goal: TO PUNISH THOSE WHO HAVE EVER USED A CHEATING DEVICE.
U dont want a bad egg trust me. There is about a 99.99% chance of it totally ruining ur game. Watch GlitchManOmega's bad egg vids... u will understand. Its almost impossible to get rid of them. If you get one it will probably screw ur game for life. Let me repeat:

That happens to me alot. If I make a Pokemon faint, sometimes a bad egg replaces it and I have to kill it too. Sometimes it freezes my game. My games are permanatly damaged from all the AR cheating I do.
a friend claims that he easily hatched a "bad egg" without glitching or anything, on Diamond without action replay or anything. apprently "it's always shiny", "learns moves unnatural to the pokemon" and takes a huge amount of steps to hatch?
BS-ing. Bad EGGs occur when the player hacks, enters a code incorrectly, or corrupts the data (possibly by turning off the game while saving), producing a result unrecognizable by the game. The game represents this data (if it's a pokemon) as Missingno (in first generation) or as Bad EGGs (in following ones). If the data is an item, it will show up in your bag as "????????". Anyway, Bad EGGs, being corrupt data, never hatch.
Sometimes, though, the game will decipher the corrupt data enough to know that EGGs hatch. In this case, the EGG may hatch in one step, or some ridiculous number. Either way, and you can watch videos on YouTube of this, Bad EGGs hatching always freeze your game and may do some permanent damage to your game data.

It was the weirdest thing i eva saw!
It was a floating missingno. and made the sound of a bulbasaur!

my egg hatched and became teh crappiest pkmn eva missingno with 0 all stats no moves learns no moves.......and no ability but when i lvled it up whew 0.0 max stats untouchable aka wonder guard type??? it was teh ultimate pkmn ;) but i traded it and crashed someones game lol idk who tho.

in my diamond game, I had two lvl 4 Geodudes. I put them in the day care and the man said they had an egg. I took the egg and a step later it hatched into a geodude. then I took another step and an egg hatched into a geodude! it just kept hatching into geodudes! it was freaky. soon I turned off the game... I didn't put in a cheat though.

Ummmmmm... I hacked on my Diamond, so that a Bad Egg is on 1st place, 1st box. But mine never hatches. I even used the cheat Quick Egg Hatch. But it won´t hatch. It has item Earth Plate, PKRS, and an Arceus should hatch out of it. Please, help me!!!

Its a glitch originally found in RSE (I think?) games. It has the same sprite as a regular Egg, but is much worse than simply bringing you a new Pokemon for yourself. In most cases, it NEVER EVEN HATCHES. If it did, it would simply be another Bad Egg or might end up as a more recent version of Missingno from the Red/Blue games, probably a circle with a ? inside or two ?? by themselves. They are pretty much evil and have one main goal: TO PUNISH THOSE WHO HAVE EVER USED A CHEATING DEVICE.

U dont want a bad egg trust me. There is about a 99.99% chance of it totally ruining ur game. Watch GlitchManOmega's bad egg vids... u will understand. Its almost impossible to get rid of them. If you get one it will probably screw ur game for life. Let me repeat:

This happened at the wierdest time, I was battling with dawn at the warehouses and then when 1 grunt lost all of his pokemon while i was using cheats. dawns clefairy said it was a bad egg and 1 of the grunts pokemon were bad egg!~

That happens to me alot. If I make a Pokemon faint, sometimes a bad egg replaces it and I have to kill it too. Sometimes it freezes my game. My games are permanatly damaged from all the AR cheating I do.

a friend claims that he easily hatched a "bad egg" without glitching or anything, on Diamond without action replay or anything. apprently "it's always shiny", "learns moves unnatural to the pokemon" and takes a huge amount of steps to hatch?

BS-ing. Bad EGGs occur when the player hacks, enters a code incorrectly, or corrupts the data (possibly by turning off the game while saving), producing a result unrecognizable by the game. The game represents this data (if it's a pokemon) as Missingno (in first generation) or as Bad EGGs (in following ones). If the data is an item, it will show up in your bag as "????????". Anyway, Bad EGGs, being corrupt data, never hatch.

Sometimes, though, the game will decipher the corrupt data enough to know that EGGs hatch. In this case, the EGG may hatch in one step, or some ridiculous number. Either way, and you can watch videos on YouTube of this, Bad EGGs hatching always freeze your game and may do some permanent damage to your game data.
