Just a few things i notice,

1. You could make a container at the bottom of you project for your buttons, thus when resized the DVD screen will resize and not stay put.

2. Instead of just forward x2 you could of created let's say a menu item with Forward's x2 x4 x6 x8 ect.. and the same backwards.

3. Instead of play, stop and pause being separate, why not make it a toggle button with play/pause and have stop separate.

They were just a few UI observation's.

this works on windows 7, it has caused some issues but you can take the simple coding and work with it so it follows Windows 7/Vista coding. I'll do a video on a program I made that is a universal media player and show you it works. Thanks to the uploader!

I downloaded MSWebDVD.dll but the DVD glitches really badly.

For all of you that has problem with the sound, I found a way to fix it. Download and install the AC3Filter. Just Google it. it contains several sound codecs including the Dolby ac3 one. Once you install it, try it and you will remember me.

The title is a little misleading, as i assumed you were programming the actual "player" and not just attaching a gui onto a component.

ok my codes are definatly off but if you think outside the box, you can fix them,

make a button that says load or whatever you want, then in its code write

dim load as new openfiledialog

load (.avi | .avi)

dvdplayer1.video = load

if i remembered that correctly which i almost garentee i didnt then it should bring up a load dialog box thing that can see avi files and then plays them on the dvdplayer1 or whatever the hell you called it hope this helped and if it didnt there are videos that can

LARRY create another button and name it "open file" and also pick "OpenFileDialog" from the menu list then you will see "openfiledialog on the form so click on that once (do not click twice to go into the form where you put the code) then on your right side you will see "Filter" put this code: All files(*.*)|*.*  and use this code for the "open file" button: OpenFileDialog1.ShowDialog() DVD1.URL = OpenFileDialog1.FileName
