NOTE: This is the cheapest and therefore the least impressive way I've ever done this effect. If everyone wants I'll make a video showing several ways to do a breakaway table effect. Or I could just send my vid to Indy Mogul and let them get my name out there.

Cut it jaggedly in half with a jigsaw and screw some in some eye bolts on the bottom (side with the legs), about 12" from the cut on either side in 3 or more places. Put the strongest 6" bungee cords you can find on the eye bolts bridging the gap. This part may take a little time but. With the help of a friend, pick up on the middle of the table where the cut is until it sort of stands on its own. Throw a person on the table and watch the magic happen.

Make a table kind of thing out of cardboard, then saw it in half, and duct tape it back together on the bottom half so you don't see it then pain over it, it would break in half if someone fell on it and you could use it over and over again

I've tried that kind of thing just with poster board. It didn't work. The poster board and/or cardboard just bends. The duct tape does rip off but the cardboard just doesn't look right. If you don't mind spending a bit of money on this, buy a piece of 1/4 inch plywood. 1/2 inch is better, buuut heavier and more expensive. Put the legs of your fancy on that sucker with the aid of some coarse thread wood screws and an electric drill. Continued above /\ /\ /\

You can practice, but a lateral wall run is almost impossible to do for more than a few steps due to laws of physic. As you have no force pushing you upwards while running, you will fall down pretty quickly. The best thing you could do is try and run along the wall parabolically, as you carry some upwards energy with you before gravity defeats your inertia.
