The students and faculty weren't "confronting" anything. They were hiding behind noise and attempted intimidation. It wasn't "censorship" either, I will agree with that. It was Communist activism. Why in a taxpayer funded school, are political opinions being taught and not actual courses of academic growth and knowledge. This is immoral. You are free for a while yet, in this country to speak about your views on any subject. You are not free to spend public funds to push your agenda. I don't see any contradiction in being a proponent of free speech, and shouting down a man who seeks to intimidate and suppress academics. Of course Horowitz is legally entitled to air whatever views he wants, but that does not mean he should expect a platform in the very same academic institutions he wants to undermine.

Well I am a student at UT Austin and I have personally taken classes that are unabashedly politicized by nature. I have been told before in class that the course is inseparable from political activism. Even Dana Cloud claims to oppose political activism from professors in the classroom. Is Horowitz wrong to attack this or are you telling me my experiences are made up?
