I'm sure there wouldn't have been opposition if the material in question was from another Sonic game, but I guess because it's from a fighting game it's somehow worse...? Hell if I know.

@Ryusuta I've got to agree with you there. Using material from one series and shoving it into another is just plain bad. Well sure! Rom hacking is all about modifying a game and and using stolen material, that's fair enough! But putting in random material from a game that clearly doesn't belong is a mistake I've seen happen WAY too often. Keeping the look and feel of the game within the series is the best thing you can do; it keeps it neat. While random crap makes it look crammed and messy.

Hoping that, much like ROMs of Sonic CD, the music can be swapped out. Nothing against DM Ashura's tunes, but I SO want Sonic 4's soundtrack in this (well, for SSZ, COZ, MMZ, and MBZ, anyway. I have a plan for DFZ using a trio of Advance Wars CO themes that are really fitting for the zone, and as for SNZ, I haven't figured that out yet. Maybe I'll just keep the Ashura tunes in that one :D ).

Hello Tweaker. I'm playing the 4.0b version on my Sega CD and I have a suggestion for an alteration on City Outskirts zone. I'd like to see the zone with the same layout (all the 4 acts are awesome) but with the tiles and the background shown on Sonic 1 beta (Sparkling zone).

to TWEAKER and all of TEAM MEGAMIX i have a few things to recommend for this game 1. change the all the bosses like you did with this one and the boss in dark fortress. 2. have only 1 boss theme for the hole game and a new final zone theme, and change the music for the action stages. 3. change the damn sprites man!! bring something new to the table try MFZ.

You can burn SEGA CD games, but you have to burn the disc at a pretty slow speed (like, 4x is usually good) for it to work.

To hulffle: Unzip the .7z file with WinRAR or 7Zip. Make sure you choose the correct reigion and correct BIOS to match, too. (US, EU and JP versions.) If you burn the game onto CD to actually use on a real MegaCD/SegaCD, you have to look out for the correct version, or the game will slow down or speed up too much, or won't even function.

it should've been a .iso file, that's the only way to run Megamix, so check the sonicretro forums to receive the .iso file, it'll save tweaker from having to explain the whole thing

To hulffle: You need the BIOS for the MegaCD/SegaCD to play the game. Sorry, I will not tell you where to download it.

But the original Sonic the Hedgehog was not all about speed. It was about exploration and platforming with speed as a bonus. Also, I liked how I had to work to get that speed. In this hack you can just touch a boost pad, and your off.
