  • to be honest i have done this workout several times when i bought the book. At the most it just feels like a good stretch and is somewhat refreshing. But it doesn't replace weight training or cardio for me.

  • a horrible rip off of dr edythe heus' work

  • @dynamicintegration when is a good time to do these? daily? before or after workouts or as a workout of its own?

  • oh my, he's clearly strong.

  • Is there a facilty in Massachusetts?

I know I found a website that mentions the Methuen or Lawrence area, but no info on services (classes, rates, programs, etc.) for this type of training. Would like to know more if it is Massachusetts. Thanks

  • @MTCG88

Used to be but we re moving all to San Diego to be near Marv.

  • @dynamicintegration

Thanks for the reply. Wish I found out about the facility sooner. Where can I get info (books and/or videos) and training equipment for this style of training? I read Marv's ProBodX book is out of publication? I would like to get a copy of the book and put together some equipment (Swiss ball, hand balls, balance disks etc.)

  • @dynamicintegration Hi! my name is Gonzalo i live in sweden i got so interested of this way of training watching the bj penn workout video. i wonder how big should the ball be if im 178 cm tall? this is awesome :)

  • i think theyre 10 lbs. am i supposed to feel muscle fatigue or what?

  • @alandagr86393

ten pounds is way too heavy to start with. You need someone to show you hwo to do them properly.

  • ive done this workout for about 3 days and i havent felt anything from it. what am i supposed to feel? is it supposed to get your heart rate up, get you sweating, or just stretching? im really wondering i should continue this workout.

  • @alandagr86393

Did you do the workout with the proper handballs? If so increase the weight and do more reps. Make sure you are on your toes and use the proper footwork

  • I just read the espn article on Marv and I knew I had to further research his training. I've been training (b-ball, modeling, overall health) for 15+ years and have been my own guinea pig. I know I'll be incorporating a great deal of Marv and Gary's available knowledge into my own regimen. You guys may have been doing this stuff for a long time, but I still think it's the future of athletic training. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience....

  • so would this workout typically take up an entire session (1hour) with a client or do yall not neceassarily go through every exercise in the same day. At 3x5 this looks like it would be pushing the limits of the amount of plyo, cns conditioning work you would want to do in a single session. If I was interested in learning more is there any valuable resources other than Marvs book you could lead me in the direction of? Thanks for being so helpful and responsive, thats awesome

  • @wallyford11

    Give Marv a call 949-226-9070

  • will do thanks.

  • @dynamicintegration

This workout looks amazing and i have tried it out a bit, but i would love to get out there with Marv to get his input on how i am exacting the evolutions. Im going to go to school to get my Fitness Professional - Certificate and I would love to incorporate this into my knowledge. oh and Marv is the man!

  • 3x5 as a circuit with more of a met. conditioning effect like 30-90 seconds rest after the round of exercises? Or is it intended to be more like a traditional plyo session, with maximal rest after each indivisual exercise?

  • @wallyford11

more like a traditional plyo session

  • i have a crooked spine which effects my hips knees and posture, do you think this would help. and if so where would i be able to get medicine balls like that. i already do some stability ball work for ju jitsu

  • isn't the ball a bit soft or is that how its supposed to be?

  • No it isn't soft but not too hard.

  • how long or how many rep's do you do each exercise for??

  • 5 reps, rest then repeat 3 times

  • How heavy would you say the medicine balls are in this vid? Just so i would have some idea where to start

  • We have some empty, some 5 lbs., some 10 lbs. and some 20lbs. Never do more than 20.

  • Cool, thanks :)

  • amazing stuff! I've been doing this workout for about two months and have had amazing results

  • I did this workout today in my gym at my school. Very difficult, I nearly fell off the exercise ball twice.

  • This is great stuff, and much harder than it looks. Not only is it good for agility and strength, but for spine proprioception and overall conditioning of the entire body. If you can do them, great, if you can't I suggest you try to work up to them!

  • You are one ignorant bastard. Marv has a true outlook on training. Look at Troy Polamolu & the new Bj Penn. I have switched from hard strength training to his mechanics & over 3 months I have slimmed down by 20 pounds & I almost have the same strength with quicker movements. Dont talk unless you have tried all different types of workouts including Marv's

  • What do you mean you follow his workouts? Do you train with Marv Marinovic?

  • I plyed 4 years of big 12 football & our strength conditioning coach had us do this. Marv is not the only guy.. lol..

  • So you did no heavy lifting? Did you see any streght increases at all?

  • yes and no. the answer to your question is too complex. as far as bench goes then NO. But as far as speed goes then yes. Speed is power but in order to fully answer your question it would take up too much time and I'm too bust. sry

  • @TrueGreatness73 unfortunately its marv thats the brainless bastard, not 1 day of university education in exercise science and it shows in every word that comes out of his ignornt mouth and every video he posts.Ive a masters degree in ex phys and have worked in the field for over 10 yrs.Bj has a horible work ethic and just needs his ass kicked ,it has nothing to do with marvs methods

  • @scarred10 I been working out my whole life and seen it all. I played football for 15 years and 2 years pro. I also am a ex amature MMA fighter. I have worked out at his facility and I can approve of his methods. Of course BJ has a horrible work ethic but when he was with Marvs that changed. I know a ton of people with degrees in subjects they know nothing about. I graduated from Kansas State University. A degree doesn't mean you are smart on that subject.

  • @TrueGreatness73 you could workout forever and know nothing about the science behind it,a formal education is needed. Therefore your opinion means nothing.IF youve a degree in an area you dont have a deep understanding of,the course was a joke.Spend 4 yrs 5dys a week doing anything and youll understand it very well.

  • @scarred10 Dumb ass people like yourself talk like you know shit and are quick to criticize without knowing anything. I workout 5 days a week non stop. Let me know if you want to jump on skype so we can have a formal debate about Marvs workout and science. I hate dumb ass people such as yourself thats always quick to talk shit and use the word "science" and never mention 1 scientific term. Learn how to explain shit instead of just name calling and using the word "science" without any meaning.LOL

  • @TrueGreatness73 we can debate here if you like,I'll use lots of scientific terms if that gives you the horn, bigboy.Im trying to keep the message simple so marv will be able to read it.

  • @scarred10 LMAO.. I find it really funny how trolls such as yourself like to abuse the word "science" and never actually speak and debate your points. lmao really funny

  • oooooo so true
