Hey, anyone can play that good with a steering.

For eg. I use a joystick to play prince of persia, and it is much easier to play rather than using a keyboard.

look at the track in spa.they build a new track in 2007,but this is the track from 2005.

i never played ferrari challenge but it's far from nfs underground. Personally i love it. There's a view that shows the inside of the car and when you crash hard the screen goes blurry. I really like it so far.

It's not exactly hardcore sim... but close enough.

Its fun though.. especially online ( if you play with people who dont crash into you on purpose )

This track looks bloody awesome but there needs to be some slight scaling done, hes doing 2:13's (claimed his best was in the 2:10's) which is about 7 sec faster than an actual race spec MC12 (low 2:17's by the #2 Lamy MC12 at this years Spa 24hr, posted in pre-quali). I really, really hope that Shift can be comparable to GTR2, GTR Evo, rFactor, etc but i guess we will have to wait and see.

The guys behind NFS Shift have a very impressive track record. Unlike Codemasters who always promise great physics and never deliver.

NFS has been a joke since NFS 5 : Porsche Unleashed. Shift is very special according to those who've played it.

don't remember the degrees, sorry.. i prefer the cockpit view, i don't use it in this game cause i hate that the virtual wheel doesn't turn like the real wheel.. for me it's important..

This looks better and is more realistic. Sadly rfactor pro is the only sim I've seen that draws the cockpit view properly.

So-called "cockpit" views in games, are really just about drawing pretty graphics.

If you have a screen placed at typical viewing distance, it's wrong to draw the wheel and arms on that screen. That places you as the driver, in the back seat or further back.

In this video the guy has a wheel in front of him and moving arms too in the correct place....

I found that the videos of shift look quick, but if you look at the speedo or the lap timer it's not. Good trick, that. In his Laguna video he did a 1:24 with mistakes, which is about what the GT1 cars do (1:20).
