  • stretch out the vocals a bit maybe...but well done..play & sing that...impressive.

  • One of your very best , but I loved following you all around the Prov. area with Jimmy some thirty years ago , your success was earned over many years

  • Incredible talent. Check her out with Dan Seals doing "Addicted".

  • amazing...

  • I loved Suzy's version of this song but Cheryl, you own it!!!

  • Aces is a Cheryl Wheeler song... Suzy fiddle with the rhythm ... and didn't do the song any favors. She was and is an Iron Horse (Northampton, MA) favorite.

  • Is this at the Iron Horse?

  • Cheryl is an amazingly wonderful songwriter that almost nobody has ever heard of. But that's their loss. For me, she's always at her songwriting and singing best when exploring affairs of the heart.

  • i had never heard of cheryl wheeler. now in one day i find out she wrote two songs (aces, addicted) that are special favorites of mine not only for the amazing poetry of the lyrics but the unique sound and rhythm of the melodies..

  • That is the problem with music today unless you look like a model you probably wont be seen.

  • Cheryl is a beautiful woman- inside and out.

  • A lot of her songs are sooo true! They are funny and they are true. Shes amazing

  • amazing amazing singer/song-writer/musician...I'm glad I discovered her..albeit...after all these years.. Better later than never, I guess! Thanks 'TonyGottlieb' for making it possible!

  • she is really talented

  • she's kinda scary looking, but listening to the way she sings this song and plays the guitar is just downright amazing.

  • why should the way she look even be mentioned, jackass?

  • Great Job Cheryl!! This woman is unbelievably talented.

  • Cheryl has written so many truly great songs. I have been looking for "Addicted", written by Cheryl and sung by Dan Seals. I've also heard Cheryl sing it, but for some reason, no one on youtube seems to have a copy of it.

  • Somehow, I am doubting you could sing any better than Cheryl Wheeler. I doubt you could sing 1/10 as well. And that is a high estimate.

  • helluva singer/song writer.

  • sorry, thats not just cheryl, her guitar and a suzy Bogguss tune .. that is cheryl ,her guitar and the song that cheryl wrote and the powers that be gave the song to suzy ,in a vain attempt to make her a star . Cheryl is the brains and talent here

  • No need to diss Suzy; she is smart and talented too. I like both artists and both versions of the song. It takes brains and talent to recognize brains and talent.

  • I realize it's a Wheeler original, but it was Suzy that made it popular by, as you say, "the powers that be"

  • Just Cheryl, her guitar, and a Suzy Bogguss tune...does it get any better than this?

  • Its a great song. Like both versions.

  • This wonderful song of Cheryl's has a complicated meaning. If interested in that, check out Bill Pringle's website for Cheryl.

    Sue D.

  • what is the meaning i can't find the site you were talking about, it is tough to figure out

  • In essence She was talking about dating a past partner of a good friend, and the friend felt betrayed, although that relationship had been over.
