OMGosh! It's a myth being perpetuated! Contrail persist, and can stay around for hours if the conditions are right. You basic premise is wrong. Nobody notices the "chemtrails" because most people know the science involved concerning the atmosphere and weather. It's a non-event, and has been discredited. Google "weather" and "persistent contrails" and "clouds". They are all explainable easily with science. "Chemtrails" have no science to back up the stories.
