trust me on the parking brake, just un plug it and problem solved. some people commenting are close but this is it. its gonna save you headaches by unplugging it or just cut the wire going to it
i agree with atvriderman cause there should be a little lever over your clutch that says brake pull the clutch in and the switch should flip out cause my quad does the same thing as that when i have the switch flipped on. Hope you have fun with the quad
ccould be the jetting needle in the carb theres a little piece that snaps on to control the fuel air mixture mine fell off and did the same thing or its a fouled plug
dude for starts it'll never rev up with out the air box on it and it's not good to run it with the baffle cover off dont ask y about the air box cuz idk mine does that to
you dont have to cut any thing on the older ones with the cable brakes and the headlights on the handle bars all you need to do is disconnect the small black box under front hood its right above the cid unit it has 1 three prong plug disconnect it and bye bye tors system issues yamaha wont tell you that but an insider at my local yamaha shop told me that and it works
adjust your throtle control.. theres a little screw and turn it counter clock -wise so its not getting so mouch gaas into the carb. thats the most common problem
cut the wires on top of the carb.(TORS)- throttle.over.rev.sensor- ,wire them together, cut wires from thumb throttle wire both sides together. if that don't work check to make sure the washer under the jet is there.(happened to me) if not that is your problem. if none of the above rings, new gaskets and seals 2 strokes are simple to work on get your hands dirty. good luck those with similar problems.
under the hood there is a little black box with a triangle connector, dissconnect it and the disconnect the plug that goes into the thumb throttle then on the tors unit on the carb disconnect that one.you will have to retune your carb to run it without them but well worth it.
Could also be your compression! I was recently running with a broken ring, and they needed to be replaced anyway, so I bought a ring set for it and that boosted my psi back up to about 165. This could be a mix of things, but it doesn"t hurt to get new parts for it. Check your compression!
Have you fixed the problem? And what was it? Dealership told me bad reeds will not cuase this. New gaskets and lower main seal. Leakdown test is good. 125 psi compression. Carb is clean and new plug. No safety switch and tors is removed.
yea i would definatly say a jet problem an seeing how it idles it would probally be the main jet. check the jets an make sure u have no air leaks with this being a case reed inducted engine you have to worry about reeds and crank seals going out. good luck an hit me up if you need any help im pretty good with these
@flashes94 yes i would go up a size in the main jet and thats if you know the jets in the carb are clean. if the carb is clean and also check your reeds for gaps but these things have that damn tors unit on it and if you bypass it you will see a difference. those things are always going bad. i would check the reeds if i was this guy in the video first before i did anything else and you can also adjust the needle up and down for leaner and richer mixes. good luck
there is nothing wrong with the motor if u put the plastics on it and put a filter on it it will run fine its not able to run with open carb mine dont have any throttle eather with no filter
ok i dont know about the whole parking break thing but your bike needs new rings man, see all that smoke?make sure to let it warm up first to these two strokes need to get oil to the top of the head befor ya go hoppin on them even a forged piston can only take so much.
@p3kranger98 ur fucking stupid..if its running theres oil in the topend...the oil is in the gas..and every two stroke smokes. god damn you make me laugh
@hondaracin338 ok ok i didnt think about that on but if it were 4 stroke...im gettin my shit confused man ive rode 2 strokes for so long now im riding them 4 strokes.but hey it could be oil injected in this case it isnt but chill the fuck out and dont be such a prik.not every 2 stroke is mixed and alot of these blaster are oil injected.
@hondaracin338 and just because it is a 2 stroke does not mean it will smoke that bad..its ither cold or the fuel is just to rich.man ive been working on 4 strokes since i was 11 i was doing timing re jetting and replacing crankshafts when i was 12.
THE PARKING BREAK MAY BE OFF BUT THE PARKING BREAK SENSOR IS MOST LIKLEY GOING OFF IN THE ELECTRICAL STUFF . . . . . THE EXACT SAME THING WAS HAPPENING TO MY 03 BLASTER AND I FIXED IT BY TAKING OFF THE FRONT NOSE FENDER AND DISCONNECTING THE EMERGENCY BREAK WIRE AND IT RAN PERFECTLY
I recently blew my 03' blaster up..but I rebuilt it completely and before hand it never had any problems like this, but I put it all back together and it done this same thing, turned out to be the parking brake though..like nygiants2222 said! Listen to him like I did..lol, cause it fixed mine!
take the parking break off lol me and my friend were riding once and he put his on and then we went to go ride and it would do the same thing as that its just a stupied design.
ur not alone bud im having the same problem ive had ppl check the block and jug and head its not the inside i got need reeds and a rebuilt carb i even put bigger jets in my carb becuz i thought it wasnt gettin enuff fuel idk what else to check
No first thing thats wrong when it does that is usually a compression issue. if u dont have enough compression then it wont rev cuz the piston isnt getting pushed down with enough compression check your compression and head gasket too sometime u lose compression cuz of the head gasket. if your compression is pretty low then most likely u have a shot piston and one of your rings are pinched onto the piston. time for a rebuild if anything.
trust me on the parking brake, just un plug it and problem solved. some people commenting are close but this is it. its gonna save you headaches by unplugging it or just cut the wire going to it

unplug the parking brake sensor. Its a safety feature so you know it on and not drive away with the parking brake on. Banshees have it as well

If u have ur parking brake off there's a wire by the parking brake by ur clutch take a flat head and pop it out. That's what was wrong with mine
