  • What does face value mean?

  • @pipefitters1 face value means what the coin is worth if ya spent it at the store like face value of a dime is 10 cents a quarter is 25 cents and so on.

  • I agree 90% lol

  • I want to spark a debate about .925 coins and .999 coins. Obviously, .999 pure is more valuable than .925. However,...to acquire .999 you have to pay huge premiums. So let's start the debate,..at what point or price should one settle for .925 instead of .999? Where I live,..to acquire .925 I pay only about $2 above spot price,....no premiums no taxes,..very cheap. To buy .999 you pay almost double spot price including premiums, commissions, taxes and having to give ALL my personal info.

  • @cloudskipper40 I like to own a mix of bullion and coins. I now just buy whatever has the lowest price over spot. Silver is silver.

  • how can they give you fiat currency as change but demand you pay silver?

  • If we have hyper inflation, would stores take those coins even if they're silver or would we have another currency?

  • I enjoyed the post. I am for having a little bit of every weight. The Stagecoach silver that allows you to break it up is a good idea. I like the dimes, quarters, and dollars. Two types that you can still find in circulation are War .05 & 1/2 90&40%. Both easy to spot and a lot of people bad mouth both of them, but copper is 3.66 a lbs and nickle is also up. You need some gold & a great buy are Aust.1/20 coins. The US Govt. can take your bullion, so lock it up. FDR did this in 1933.

  • I have Stagecoach Silver one-ounce rounds that are scored to be divisible into 1/4 ounce pieces (from Northwest Territorial Mint). What you're saying here makes sense, so I just ordered 150 Mercury dimes. I'll be watching for more dimes.

    Thanks for the video.

  • If silver spot is, say, 30 dollars, how much is a fair price to buy silver dimes from a pawn or coin shop?

I want to start buying a few at a time, like fifty bucks or so worth.

  • @ndrthrdr1 at 30 dollars an ounce 1 dime is worth 2.17 so stay as close to that as possible you dont want to pay hardly any premium on "junk" silver so just check around and see who has the lowest premiums in your area.

  • @ndrthrdr1 $2.50 for $35 silver

  • @lucky43113 AWESOME VIDEO...AWESOME ADVISE!! Love it. Keep it real bro! God bless...keep stacking!

  • pure redneck there

  • I have a little over 2300 silver dimes

  • Great ideas! You have thought this through. Thanks!

  • lucky is spot on with his dimes logic. I would much rather have dimes rather then quarters halves or full dollars.

  • Great video.. thanks

  • good video and good logic.

  • Looks like you got some sterling hanging around your neck & that will be of value too. some people say you have to have .999 bullion like eagles but those are being faked by china & are coming over here fast on ebay. Most people won't have any money of real value (gold/silver/copper) & prices will fall fall fall. Merchants will have stuff to sell & will take anything of value but I believe they will scrape, acid test & weigh EVERYTHING first.

  • guns and bullets will be sold for silver coins.

  • very informative.thanks

  • I invest in 90% too but common let's get real. You couldn't just walk into walmart and hand the cashier 5 silver dimes and expect to get silver back in change. That's silly. You'd first have to go and get those dimes exchanged for fiat currency, and then go buy your goods. Only to get more fiat currency back in change. Your silver hoard would be gone really fast.

  • @gmaster45612374 yes but thats assuming you are not ever getting silver/ gold back in return for your services or goods.

  • @planejet42 dude im 15 as well and im spending all my money on silver! right now I am transferring all of my silver bullion into dimes. keep stackin, and good luck

  • I'm in Ohio aswell, I'm 15 so I don't have much money but I am working on buying silver. I don't have much, under 10oz. Hopefully eventually I will have 100s of ounces of silver. Cool video, thanks for posting!

  • I agree. I invest in 90% junk silver as well. Cheers.

  • Good points, I try to diversify my silver portfolio, I have a bunch of silver dimes, 7 american eagles, 3 maples, 1 PAMP suisse T oz, 1 engelhard and 1 A-mark. Also I have a nice 10oz bar

  • Thanks again for making this. You got me off my ass a few months ago to buy silver. I wish I had known about this when it was at $23 and I tried to buy some ASEs. Id kill for 50% over that now v_v

And today I just overpaid a bit on some dimes on ebay but oh well.

  • BRAVO,,,,BRAVO,,,,,I have been telling people this for ages. You have to have your silver in small increment coins. In a currency crash who the hell is going to have change for a one pound bar. Also....i wouldn't personally take any bars....who knows if it's fake.......I am buying all 1964, circulated Kennedy halves and 1963 Franklin halves. This guy really knows what he is talking about

  • LOL " I don't care if ya got generic round with a frog or a goat on it..."

Your straight up right dude! Good vid.

  • @peetsisthekind good sense of humor and practical advice, people know what dimes, quarters look like, I would stay with those becuase lot of people don't know much about half dollars and dollars, and silver bars. Forget about large denomination silver bars, what are you going to do shave off bits of silver from a 100 oz. bar to buy gas, food, etc ?? Get some basic food, water, medical supplikes, and the metals: gold, silver...and lead :-)

  • I do like Eagles but all in all this is a great video with sound advice...I have been investing in silver since the 1980's and I can say that you have some good solid advice for beginners and dimes are a great way to go if you just concentrate on one thing.....God bless....Mike

  • great video, load up on dimes is a great idea and there's millions of them around.

  • Wow I love your accent! Which state do you stay in? Texas? :)

  • @spiritfired lol actually im in ohio born and raised.

  • @lucky43113 my fams from Dayton

  • @lucky43113 really? damn

  • Buy Silver Dimes and Keep Stacking!!!!

  • now here is a man with truckloads of common sense.

  • hi lucky , scotland here with my update . i bought some silver coins from bullion by post it cost around £38 for austrian philharmonic one ounce coins. watching closely to see the prices of silver. god bless my friend

  • Nice video! I've linked my silver dime video to yours. All the best to you...

  • Real worthwhile advice.. you've got it sussed.!

  • how many dimes are in a roll?

  • @1984IcameandIstayed 50 dimes in a roll

  • @1984IcameandIstayed 50, and it cost like $125 today.

  • damn, this is what you callin STACKIN'!!!!!

  • nice video lucky, good to see you again...

  • I just buy as close to spot as possible. I do not want art its in a box I do not see any way. maybe Ill paint a couple make em purdy. I buy all Scottsdale Silver mostly who knows maybe down the road it will become numismatic.

  • nice collection

  • FNA

  • If it is bad enough in the economy that you need to spend that 90% silver, you won't HAVE to sell it first for a wheelbarrow full of fiat currency because NOBODY, no merchant will accept the fiat currency. You will trade the silver coin for the actual goods with no middleman of fake fiat currency. Watch some of the videos on youtube of the hyperinflation in Zimbabwe. Nobody would take anything for food but real metal.

  • great video mate, im just starting out and need to know what to do to start buying . where can i trust online or in scotland thats where i live. does every country have local bullion ??

  • @fhs323 not sure about scotland just do some google search's for bullion dealers in your area let me know what ya find

  • Hope these proof to be worthwhile.. I have not traded with them .. I'm into chains.!!

    remove the gaps..

  • @fhs323 ebay uk is your'e best option , if you try to buy outside the uk you will get hit for %20 vat plus a higher postage and packaging. need any help on american silver coinage just ask. their are two types %90 or %40 silver content.

  • good video. I enjoy 90% silver and love the halves, quarters, and dimes because of the history behind it (no longer being made) and its well known.

Any more updates on your silver collection or recent acquisitions?

  • I can't argue a single point you made. Well done! You're a very smart man.

  • I have 482 pre 65 US dimes....I love em!

  • smart guy

  • Great video! You make a lot of sense. Thanks man.

    God bless!

  • It's nice to know rednecks can invest in the metals and not guns.

  • @Tacocat21 lol

  • great video, i got hooked on the dimes also

  • EXACTLY why I favor U.S. silver junk coins as well! Easily recognizable, and if silver goes to the moon, "change" is a smaller denomination with which to trade. Nice collection BTW.

  • Yeah the Mint rips you off. Private rounds are better, but still too much premium. I just bought war nickels for a little bit under spot, including shipping :)

  • 10 oz bar for 3 rolls of dimes? Youre a swindler hahahaha

  • jipes. $1400 in silver. youre all set.

  • Good idea ...If things get that bad maby we will need bullits in the USA.For me silver eagles. Thanks for the good ideas though.peace.Buy silver crash jp morgan with a silver bullet.

  • Very good reasoning, thanks.

  • anyone think a 100oz bar would be good as a car payment to capitalone? :) or a mortgage that would be more useful

  • I've got all half dollars. Only because that's all the dealer had the day i bought them. I wish i had dimes or even quarters.

  • @redcat362 Flea markets may be a great source for 90% silver. That is where I go. Lower overhead means lower prices. You may even find some bullion to buy. It is also nice that it is a cash transaction, and that person has no idea who you are, or where you live.

  • @hedge313 Ironic the local government closed the flea market here like a year or two ago because they wanted to redevelop the land into housing or some crap. We already have more than enough housing in this town. We need ratables, not that I agree with taxes, but businesses are needed. And that was the last flea market for like 20 miles.

  • Okay so are canadian coins with 80%silver and 20% copper any good? a lady is selling them for $1.75 candian each. I really want to start buying sliver, i'm just being careful and don't know too much yet. Thanks for the help man.

  • Hey is $35 canadian dollars a good price for 10 silver dimes from the 30's?

  • @mattholmes320 from what i have found one of those dimes is about 1.71 melt value

  • Hey Lucky, what you think about those 35% silver war nickels? Think their any good for trade?

  • @nyanga4338 sure there great to have as well i just got hooked on the dimes

  • anything with silver has value, even the silver war nickels. I anyone in the US wants to have their coins insured, send me a message. I insure coins aganst theft, fire, etc.@nyanga4338

  • very good advice ! smart

  • cool video start small and work your way up :)

  • instead of getting fiat as change just use 95% copper cents along with silver to make up what you need to get to the total purchace price. is that wrong?

  • @MrYouKnowWho1975 it could work in a collapse but i think the dimes are more of a sure thing

  • @lucky43113 agreed. but use them side by side in an attempt to receive no fiat in return. use what you need in dimes then if you need say 30 more cents at that point just pull out the copper

  • @lucky43113 sorry lucky not sure if my last post went through? i dont think i was clear before. what i was meaning to say was, say you have a purchase of $12.25 instead of using 7 dimes at say $2 each and get $1.75 back in crap money. only use 6 then also use 25 copper cents. so then it is exactly what you owe, then you get no fiat in return. sounds good to me, but maybe you have a diff view. i would like to know what ya think. maybe ask mike?

  • @MrYouKnowWho1975 i see what your saying i think that could work

  • Your logic just makes sense. I've been doing the same since I discovered that the old 50% and 83.5% silver coins of my country (not in use for more than 60 years now) are way cheaper than investment grade silver which I also used to buy in the beginning (when I was not aware of this cheaper source).

  • By avoiding to pay a premium for investment coins you get more silver for your money (up to 50% more silver) which is what counts when the price goes up. For example, it's better to have have 15 kilos of silver than 10 kilos of silver for the same money.

  • Using small coins to buy food, etc. in a survival situation is very practical indeed. Moreover, if necessary any silver (even scrap silver) can be easily refined for a small charge and sold to a jeweller.

  • Thanks for the insight

  • go lucky !!!!!

  • I just found your site lucky. Enjoy your videos, man. Keep it up and good buying. Silver is king!! We can always melt them down and turn them into bullets to kill all those blood sucking vampires out there LOL!!

  • I just found your site lucky. Enjoy your videos, man. Keep it up and good buying. Silver is king!!

  • Great video for new folks to understand what this is all about Lucky. There's going to a lot more new people from all the world going to real silver. Good point about avoiding big bars, this will only become even more important. Right too about the Eagles, so many are over here in Europe they will never return to the USA anyway. All the best

  • God love you, Lucky. Blessings to you, brother.

  • Hey there nightwatchman ...You look like you need a nap ..lol ....Great video, great advice .....I like to diversify in 90% pre-65 too (its all I got). When I first started collecting silver a couple years ago,I started on my own with aquiring a lot of ASEs . I took a loss doing that and then went to a numismatics coin show and traded all that high dollar government stuff in for some WEIGHT in 90% coinage. At that time silver was around $17 an ounce ....I took all of that guys junk he had ..lol

  • Good video Lucky, and I like the shirt too. good info.

  • what does the rest of your shirt say...?

  • @TheUncleBastard it says I wear this shirt i wear when im a grouch.

  • Lets not forget silver with a peanut on it. Those get the highest premiums.

  • By boy lucky. Sup bro. Great vid.

  • you feelin' OK? ...you're looking a little strange there...

  • @EvanQuinn07 i was just tired when i made the video

  • I agree about those premiums. Plenty of private mints make the walking liberty design so why would anyone want to give the gov. that extra money. They get enough of my money on April 15th. Do your business with private mints. Especially the small guys. Silver is silver is silver is silver damn it.

  • I don't think you'll have any trouble selling silver no matter what the price goes to. If the price is at X dollars per ounce, you'll be able to get that price, no questions asked. But for the big 500oz bars or whatever, yeah, you may have to sell at under spot because people aren't always willing to buy that much all at once.

I stick to 1oz coins, junk dimes dollars and halves, and a few 5 and 10 ounce bars.

  • I absolutely concur about 90% Silver dimes. Why pay outrageous premiums for fractional Silver rounds, when dimes are cheap and readily available? It's like the guy who was hawking 1 oz Copper rounds for a buck a pop, when 95% Copper US One Cent coins (pre-1982) are still available for one cent, or about 12 cents/oz. I save those because they may well be the small change in a Silver coin economy, and about 20% of US Cents in circulation are 95% copper (aside from Wheatbacks). =^[.]^=

  • It's always been the case that coins/ rounds attract a higher premium than bars.

They are easier to trade though. I'm considering getting some bars made into generic rounds at minimum cost. Any idea where this acn be done?

  • @dowhatuwill go to wwwdotqualitysilverbulliondot com call jim little and he will do it I just sent him 40 1 ounce rounds to have them converted into 1/2 ounce rounds. cost if different depending on the amount that you want converted

  • @lucky43113 Thanks lucky. You may have misunderstood me though. I was thinking of getting BARS made in to rounds. I presume he does that as well?

    I have a 500oz bar.

  • @lucky43113 Thanks lucky. You may have misunderstood me though. I was thinking of getting BARS made in to rounds. I presume he does that as well?

    I have a 500oz bar.

How much does that normally cost you?

  • @dowhatuwill he will convert your 500 oz bar just give him a call

  • The smaller denominations are good like you say , in this case DIMES. But one ounce of silver is still one ounce of silver, it WILL be recognized and accepted, except it is of course easier to purchase with smaller denominations. Also, if you use a one ounce piece of .999 silver (bullion or coin, dont matter) you will still get change in silver......probably in the form of 90% silver dimes or quarters. The thing I don't understand is people buying 100 oz silver bullion, too difficult.

  • @MrSkaramanga i dont think that you will get silver back as change why would they give you back something that will go up in value there more likely to to give you fiat that will go down in value. If they give you silver back that would be like paying you to take the item that you have purchased.

  • @lucky43113 I think maybe you didn't understand completely. Let's put it this way............if I give someone a one ounce piece of silver to purchase something......and the item cost less than one piece of silver, then I should get silver in return no?, I mean I did not give them "fiat" currency, I gave them something REAL, and of course I should get something real in return. Only fair.

  • @MrSkaramanga it may not be fair but they will not give you something that will go up in value they will want to get rid of as much fiat as they can.

  • @MrSkaramanga I THINK THAT MOST DON'T REALIZE THAT WE WOULD STILL BE USING FIAT CURRENCY EVEN IN A COLLAPSE. YOU'D SIMPLY BE SELLING YOUR METALS TO OBTAIN FIAT TO PAY FOR YOUR ITEMS. ECONOMICALLY, FRANCHISES WOULD NOT BE DESIGNED TO ACCEPT PAYMENTS IN THE METALS. WOULD SOME MERCHANTS? MORE THAN LIKELY. BUT NOT FRANCHISES. WOULD I GIVE BACK METALS AS CHANGE DUE? NO.....THAT'S LIKE PAYING SOMEONE. MAYBE SOME CLOSE ACQUAINTANCES? YES.....BUT I WOULDN'T COUNT ON IT LOL.

  • Hmmm sounds like a lot of horse sense to me :>) And the bullion stacker website is a great place to buy, sell, or trade. Great thing to do especially when the 1099 comes into effect. Unless it's repealed. But! What are the chances of that LOL?

  • 100 oz. silver bullion will still have value, but dimes are the way to go!
