@MrPoptropica1 In japan, as i know, they have two types of uniform. 1 for summer and 1 for winter. if you look longer back at the classroom, there are few other students who are wearing same uniform as her, i believe its summer uniform.

1 Thing.. girls in japan do not look anything like anime.

They just wear uniforms which is also in example: Turkey / Britain

So if you think you should go there because you just love anime. Then japan is not the right place for you. It has more to offer then only anime. P.S japanese=small tits

outside and inside shoes brought me memorize to joke some ghetto people from USA, Africa, Southeast asia. Those shoes will gone away, if they are students in Japan. And student sleep in classroom will be in principal office for USA, for Asian will be bamboo stick spanking, and other country... I dunno.

@lovegetu101 the title says exchange student. an exchange student is a student who goes to another country for 1 school year or less, or even sometimes 2 parts of 2 different consecutive school years (ex- the second half of 10th grade going into the 1st half of 11th grade). so she went by herself for a school yr in japan.

yea!! japan is so strange like that, for primary/secondary and junior high school they dont care if you sleep in class or get bad marks. so long as you are in attendance. but in senior high obviously they start counting marks and they make you repeat if you fail etc.

@meapple7 They probably have different choices, like almost every private school (even though this school could be public or private since I think all Japanese schools require a uniform). I go to a private school in the USA and you can wear a white or blue uniform shirt, and you can choose if you want to wear pants, a grey skirt, or a plaid blue skirt. So they just have more than one option.

But the funny thing is that some people think that eating, drinking, or consuming raw eggs are totally fine and healthy. AFS doesn't require language proficiency, but I recommend at least 6 months to 1 year of conversational Japanese.
