I dont disagree but, at the same time, since 1997 they have all been on ps platforms created by sony, and Konami corporations are owned and funded by Sony. Yes mgs2 did come out on xbox, but first on ps2, and only because it never sold that much (Raiden). The gamecube for mgs1 was a wish by Hideo because he is a fan of the system, it never would of happened if he never pleaded which is why it werent a new game but a remake. Yes peace walker is portaple but Rising isnt, so it still feels wrong

Kojima has recently stated he will be "more deeply involved" in MGS:R than the average producer. considering that he only produced ZOE, -a game for which he seems to reap all the credit for, i wouldnt be surprised if MGSR reflects substantially of Kojima's signature style.

Also, the new engine is on part of the fact that the game is multiplatform (need to accommodate diff platform architecture) and purportedly a "different kind of action game".
