Well, you're entitled to your opinion. Sally may only be a blip in the overall franchise, but if you focus on the comic, a girl he's known for 12 years, almost married, and still flirts with today is one LONG fling. lol

Sonic X does have evidence of Sonic liking Amy, but that's completely separate from the Archie comic series with Sally.

In Archie, Sonic has said "I love you" to Sally, gotten officially engaged to her, kissed her like a dozen times, given her flowers etc, etc. But again, as far as most of Sega is concerned she never existed, so it doesn't matter.

She almost died a couple of times, but they revived her. She's still a main character in the series, and appeared last month in issue #204.

The way I see it, there are as many Sonic the Hedgehogs as there are conflicting licensed stories about him, and that's a lot.

Never got into Naruto, and as far as Sonic goes, I'd rather watch/read about adventure stories than romance, but if forced to chose I'd probably go with ShadAmy, or SoniCOLE despite there being almost no canonical basis for them. Weird but true.
