  • whats the tuning on one of those?

  • you can tune it all kind of ways, the most common is bass in inverted 5ths and melody in 4ths. I use a mirrored 4ths tuning.

  • inverted fifths??? so start from the center and work your way out, type thing?

  • yes - check out the stick website to see the tuning diagrams. it works out so that going in 5ths in the opposite direction from 4ths in the other results in the notes all still matching up. 5ths also allows wider chord voicings in the bass register without sounding muddy. All that being said, I actually I use the "Mirrored 4ths" tuning listed on the stick website.
