@ScorchinBeats No, you had to edit it in the arrangement window. Pro Tools has always been focused on Audio, but Logic became a menace and that's why they did all that improvements: Better midi editing, lots of plugins, audio loops, changed the GUI...

8 years ago you couldn't record on other platform, computers weren't fast enough and Pro Tools was the only DAW with DSP cards. But nowadays with 8core Mac Pros it's not that necessary to have an $8000 HD card

fruity loops takes about a week to learn but in my opinion it has limited capabilities when it comes to remixing and importing soundtracks made on other programs. I use FL Studio 9 XXL Producer Edition

But i haven't used pro tools 8 or any of them so...

Pro tools 8 is actually really cool. I have the LE version that comes with the M Box 2 Mini and its so intuitive and easy to use yet incredibly versatile. I'm still very new to it but already I feel decent at it.

Bands don't always control that, they estimate the best they can but M2M took like an entire year more than they expected. They've clearly stated throughout this year that they are aiming for early 2010, personally Id rather wait for a great album then listen to a rushed one just to make a few fans happy. keep up to date with what their saying or dont complain, this was released a year ago.
