I like this, but having a muay thai background in addition to chinese arts, I am used to immediately retracting my fist. I would like to see this done full speed vs. Someone who is not leaving the arm out.
@thaiboxer5 thanks! i had that problem too for a really long time when doing kung fu. it took about two years to get out of the habit. it's all about committing to the strike. when i would move in, hit, snap back, yeah i got a hit in, but the fight went on. usually this "go in and stay in" ends the fight. there's more power behind it, plus you get close in the enemy's space and a lot of people who just box and freestyle don't know what to do at that point, so you have them were you want them ~
