This unit will color your tone it is not very transparent, the amp modes are useless noise but I did find some very useful effects that surprisingly sound pretty good! but this pedal's switching response is slower than a turtle on Quaaludes which renders it useless for gigs, bummer because the effects on here are not bad in fact some are pretty dam good! If they could make it a little bigger and improve the processing speed it would be gig worthy for some folk.

@RisingForZero In my opinion the distortions sound very good, especially heavy distortion. As I said, I use it for headphone practice or direct recording and it sounds cool. I would NOT use this straight into an amp. I like the delay effects, the chorus/flange effects are kind of average, and I don't like the wah, but like I also mentioned the expression pedal kinda sux anyway. Still, for $69 it's a great pedal and a cool deal.

This is seriously a great little box...I use it primarily for headphone practice and direct recording and its truly got some amazing sounds. I think the only negatives are that it's a pain to edit and the expression pedal sucks, and I'd never use it in a live situation either. I hope Behringer comes out with an updated model that sounds as good as this, has USB, is easier to edit, and is built with a better expression pedal. I'd buy it in a second.

I think you can ajust one more if you hadn´t yet.

Go to Configure Mode and adjust Overall Volume and Input Gain. Also try different cabinet modes.

If you are not plugging it into an normal amp, try the speakers simulation.

I have had my X V-Amp for a couple of weeks and it's actually very good. The only thing that REALLY annoys me is the fact that you have to hold the TAP button and turn the ADJUST knob at the same time to adjust the volume. I have the unit at arm level but as my guitar is very neck heavy (Gibson SG copy) and dives if I let go of the nexk, I have to do this with one hand, holding down the tap button with my thumb while turning the knob with two other fingers!

But wah wah is not configurable.
