nice, standoff should be equal to the diameter of the cone at it's widest point, you were likely double that.

@scotthawkins18 with shape charges, you try to keep it reasonable, too thin and not enough material to make the energetic penetrator while too thick causes formation issues, I'd say the thickest you can bend by hand should be fine.

ANNMAl is good for SCs but not the best. its you can make a nitric ester or an explosive with a higher Vod, that should do the trick.

a buddy of mine a couple years back said that copper cones are much better than glass but i see glass is pretty good too.

Way to go man. Better than my first. I concur with what has been said so far (adjust standoff and higher VOD). The nitric esters I mentioned under your other video will really improve your results. I never tried glass, though I hear that it does well. A equal comparison between glass and copper would be interesting.

Flash powder is awsome, and as far as I can tell, it has the biggest blast radius per mass of any explosive I have ever used. I dont think the VOD is fast enough to be used in a shaped charge though.

Hmmmm Maybe if the top was closed just leaving an opening on the bottom it would create a lot more pressure/downward force. However I dont know if it would be possible to close off the top.
