@G0odf3lla Hey I didn't know receivers could actually pass the ball. Looks like a Rugby play
It is a legal play, but it isn't used very much in the NFL and is becoming a rare sight in the NCAA outside the military academies. I don't know what it is called in rugby, but it is called a lateral in American football. He can do that as long as you don't advance the ball forward.
Sorry if you were remarking about their ability and not the rule.
nfl was so much more exciting back then. just look at all that passing before the touchdown. now it's just quarterback throw, get the down, throw, down, throw, down, throw down, change teams, throw, down, throw, down
I remember watching this awesome play, and then I was shocked to see that happen. My friend Marco is a huge Saints fan and it was funny to hear him scream "YOU'RE FUCKING FIRED YOU IDIOT!" lol
Everything was fine?? no Carney everything was not fine. like my mom said after watching this..."You fucked up John!!!! You freakin blew history John!!!" my mom's awesome
I will never ever forget this! best play i have ever witnessed live!! I remember scratchin my head when he missed the extra point... like wha?? did he... NO!
I remember watching this live. IIRC, the Saints were 7-7 and needed to win out to make the playoffs. Everybody thought they'd pulled off the ultimate miracle (which fit nicely with the fact that it came the season after Katrina)...then Carney shits the bed. On the FOX post-game show, Terry Bradshaw broke the stunned silence of the commentators by suggesting that both Carney and the holder take a cab back to New Orleans, wearing masks to keep anybody from recognizing them. Pretty high comedy.
@battleax86 Katrina hit New Orleans in August of 2005. This game took place in December of 2003. Ironically, Sunday will mark the first time that the Saints have visited Jacksonville since this happened.
@RobdaVegasMailman Why is this ironic. The way the NFL schedule is set, the Saints will play in Jacksonville every 8 years. Nothing expected should be called ironic.
ill never forget this haha, iv been a saints fan for as long as i can remember, i was about 11 when i saw this live on tv with my grandfather, didnt have to worry about bandwagons for about 6 years later haha, i enjoyed being one of the only people i know liking the saints

The Pats can't win them all, even though they clearly could - i can only imagine who your team is, and the best part is that nomatter who it it, they are inferior to the Pats.
@PerfectceII Adrian Wilson (at the time the Arizona Cardinals safety) jumped a 66 inch hurdle. Try and tell me he couldn't dunk a basketball from the free throw line. Don't assume, it makes an a * * out of you.
