The diesel always is smoking that why a smoke switch works. but since most diesel have filters they dont smoke unless really pushed. so imagine pushing it with the smoke switch on.

Yeah you can the only thing is you have to watch your EGT's, make sure your getting a smoke switch for your cummins and not a duramax I believe the designs are different.

wrong its just for the smoke, the switch delays the signal being sent to the computer and its telling the computer your not building any boost so its send the motor more fuel, more unburnt fuel more smoke

Yeah Im sorry, but your wrong the switch causes the engine to think that its running high boost so that the wastegate will open and allow the engine to not build boost. Your getting the same amount of fuel, but no boost which equals lots of smoke.

i've seen two trucks come back from over there both duramax's one a LB7 and one a LLY, like i said the LB7 has no smoke tune. The LLY smokes more than any truck ive ever seen.. you dont have to have a lap top to do it either. just a simple knob in your dash or whereever you want to put it that has 5 or 6 settings. and yes both of them were around the $550 mark with a dyno run and came out over 500hp

You think that sounds good you should hear it with the new downpipe I put on. I have an actual "Turbo Back" exhaust there is no kit on the market that comes with a down pipe, you have to buy it seperate. It's a MBRP 4" Turbo Back straight pipe duals.

For anyone with a duramax, I recommend EFILive, it is the ultimate tuning tool and you can build yourself a smoke tune, that will smoke much more than that, not to say that was bad at all.
