  • Fuck youtube's related video algorithms for bringing me here.

  • Not so bad since it reminds me of Fritz the Cat and doesn't come off as furry as say, DeviantArt fans or Sonic fans.

  • GOD DAMMIT YOU FUCKING FURRIES ARE MAKING ME NOT WANT TO LIVE

  • FUCK NO NO NON ON OLN KN IONO NO NOJKDNFGVOKDFMNLOJADSNFINMFCd

  • There's no way you can deny that this is furry at this point. Seriously. Either that or this is 100% about weird mutant bestiality.

  • i'm sad :(

  • I didn't know Second Life had a cartoon

  • Hmm... Appears to be a little hit-and-miss on the humour department, and I'll admit that it's a little, how do I put it, absurd to watch. I have to pause it to compose myself and continue. It's not a bad thing, it's just a small observation from me that it's a little out there.

But in the end, it's funny. Not something I'd watch with anyone else within a hundred yards of me, but I'd watch it. Keep going. Produce indi like Fritz the Cat... Actually, screw a series, make a movie.

  • The thing is, about sexual humor you can either focus on the sexual or the humor. I thought this was funny and sexy and hope it gets picked up.

  • 1) It's a cultural thing that all canines do in the show.

    2) Because the guy who did his voice is white, he's also the guy who did the animation.

    3) It's has a good pilot script and it was tailor made for the contest I submitted it to, the Fox Diversity Developmental Writers Initiative.

  • @sharki3232

It's lacking something dude, not alot of it tho'! May be that it at times feels alittle..stiff?

You know, if i were you i'd look around and check out some stuff that has both manimals, twisted humor and a pretty wide fanbase, Fritz the cat, Meet the feebles. Stuff like that.

Hell, if nothing you might atleast try to catch the attention of some decent flash artists to get things in motion, people never mind working abit if you get them interested. Good luck dude

  • why the fuck does Jody keep referring to herself in the third person? Why does the black guy sound white? Why did this show get so far in the competition??!

  • >you must be at least 45 to watch this

  • go fuck yourself, /co/.

  • @cornnugget >/co/ wants /co/ to fuck itself

    Masturbation, anyone?

  • Sure is self insert in here.

  • I hope this project isnt canceled.

  • KEEP MAKEING THIS!

  • ^^ Now this is good! Hope to see more of this up soon!

  • RECALCULATING!!! TURN RIGHT NOW!!!!

  • @ajolley785727 Wait, what?

  • THIS JUST IN! ZOO U IS A FINALIST FOR THE FOX DIVERSITY WRITERS INITIATIVE AND A SEMI FINALIST IN THE NEXT TV WRITING AND PITCHING COMPETITION!

  • @sharki3232 WAHOO!!! Congrats!!

  • This is the most awesome thing ever. Lesbian kissing is awlways needed on TV.

  • Now this would be an interesting cartoon if it was FULLY animated

  • Jody the vixen she is hot

  • @ajolley785727

    She would agree with you.

  • Well, it must feel bad to read alot of unappreciative comments but they're right.

Father of the pride could pull off some good dirty jokes in style. This leaves a sour taste though, like you're pandering to perversion. A general audience isn't going to like that.

Apart from that, slow joke delivery.

No story to speak off. Nothing engages me.

and the furries... what? You need to have a point with the animal characters man. Satire over kid shows, fable, Disney... (anything but furry)

  • @herrfrunck its a cartoon for furries, featuring lesbian kissing.

its low hanging fruit, this is worse than family guy stuff.

  • Cool, good luck

  • To the guys complaining about the animation; it's an animatic. Bsically a moving storyboard.

    Now, for the honest opinion:

Doesn't seem to be anything special, that's without the furry element. With that, you bring a creepy near-bestiality edge to it and I doubt any exec will touch this. I mean, how would you even pitch this to the suits?

  • I can't believe 4Chan is this slow, I posted this months ago.

  • The writing could stand to be improved. I'm trying to imagine this as a finalized show, with solid animation and voice acting, and it's building itself up to be very forgettable.

Still, I hope you get this thing on air. It's definitely one of the more ambitious projects I've seen from a "member of the fandom"

  • What the fuck is going on?

  • You really hope to get this disgusting furry garbage on TV? What a fucking idiot.

  • Why the sudden surge in viewing? I checked the insight panel. but it's not offering any clues.

  • 4chan

  • @stfuken Thank you.

  • @sharki3232 because it got posted on 4chan. There have been three threads in the last hour, and everyone is universally declaring this show to be shit.

even the furries are saying it's shit, that doesn't bode well considering they would be your primary audience

  • @DarkTrogdor20X7 OH NO! 4CHAN HATES IT! MY DREAM IS DEAD!

  • 4chan is full of furries. You know the only people who are demented enough to actually like this trash. The fact that even they hate it should be an indicator of how bad this truly is.

  • Comment removed

  • @DarkTrogdor20X7 Sorry, I wasn't making fun of you. I was making fun of 4Chan and the fact that they shit on everything. I found one of the threads but it has already derailed into a Rain Dog troll-a-thon.

  • That was bad.

  • WHAT THE FUCK NO

  • Yo dude this is terrible, like shockingly awful. Completely devoid of comedy, and poorly drawn. Also the whole furry thing will kill any hopes of you getting this on the air. Learn to write, learn to draw, make your personal interests either subtle or nonexistent in your work

  • what the fuck is this !?!?!??!

  • Dear lord, this is horrible.

  • I like the sane guy with the laptop.

  • FUCKING NO

    D:

  • Comment removed

  • What in the fuck did I watch.

  • No.

  • YOUTUBE COMMENTS!

  • No to erase that from my memory.

  • Hm. I think it might fly. Lord knows I've seen stranger things on adult oriented animated shows.

But I guess it worked for "Gary the Rat." The only thing that killed that was Spike put it on against the almighty Adult Swim and they barely promoted it. Other than that it started out as an internet web show and was produced by and starring Kelsey Grammer, and it was actually funny and well recieved by the critics.

  • I just don't see how you are going to sell this to a TV network. The sex appeal is just a too over the top. Hell this is probably too much even by Adult swim's standards.

  • @Runforestrun @Runforestrun You're right as far as broadcast network goes. The show would have to be toned down to air on Fox or NBC.

But cable networks get away with a lot as far as sexual content goes. Check out "Archer" or just about anything that airs on FX or Spike.

Adult Swim is a different beast entirely. Even though "Zoo U" is aimed at the same demographic, it is probably too conventional for Adult Swim.

  • JohnRaines wants to know why Jody refers to herself in third-person.

  • @JohnRaines: It's a cultural thing canine species do in the show. They don't like to use the word "I". They fell it robs them of their identity.

It was also a way of giving Jody a unique voice in the show.

  • Maybe that would be something for Channel 4 in the UK.

In Germany unfortunately no station would show it. Here shows typically have their sound-track replaced by a far less humourous version.

  • I don't know about this. Not very funny, I'm afraid, there seems to be too much focus on sex appeal and too little on humor, and this is coming from one of them furfags. I realize this is aimed at adults, but I don't know of any TV networks would be comfortable with it, since most normal people would classify this as bestiality and very creepy.

But a show like this is an interesting idea, and I can't know what the networks are thinking. I wish you luck on this one.

  • MORE MORE ;-)

  • Heh, now that's funny. Great job on this one! :)

  • COOL!!!!!

  • This was posted the day after my Birthday?! I should have picked it up sooner! Well, off to post this on my journal!

As for Bambi, nice job on the ditz-character. AND it's cute how Jody keeps saying her name instead of "I".

  • Isn't Bambi a guy's name? Well Sharkie, I hope this show gets on the air. If it does, drop me a line, I'll watch it if it's being aired where I'm at, otherwise, I'll just get it on DVD as soon as its out.

  • @Hotshotter3000

Jody can be a man's name, but I've never meet a guy called Bambi.

  • That would be really freaky...and frightening. I wonder if there are any horses in this series.

  • Well Sharkie, I was referring to the fact that Bambi, in the original Disney movie, was in fact male (there was also another male character called Bambi in the same movie, it was the son of the skunk, flower). I've also seen in the credits to some other Disney movie/show/whatever called Bambi, too. It's a highly uncommon name, that's for sure, but I guess you were going for shock value.

  • Funny thing. In Bambi 2, the thing about Bambi being a girl's is actually commented on. If only Disney showed more scenes of the original Bambi after his mother gets shot...

By the way, the only reason I watched the sequel was because Andreas Deja was an animation consultant on it. While it doesn't hold a candle to the first Bambi, it doesn't tarnish the legacy of it either.

  • Not too bad so far. Wonder when it will get picked up. There is always Adult Swim. They like crazy ideas.

  • I can't wait to see more. I hope some TV entity realizes the potential of this and gives it a go.

  • Hmm...Why does Jodie refer to herself in the third person?

  • @Hewylewis

It's a cultural thing that canine species do in shows world.

  • Oh, okay. I hope it's explained in the series. Anyway, I really like Bambi, the air-headed group of the show. But how would she do compared to a mare?

  • keep it up man!! ii would like too see more

  • HOORAY!!! I knew you wouldn't give up on this series!!
