As for the way you play the game... try to forget silent hill is a survival horror franchise... in other words, forget the way you play the ENTIRE series...

For one, the camera angle is.....it looks like an RPG game, not survival horror. Quickly, max your hammer to 40 HP!

For two, they shouldn't let you customize a gothic brat to play as. Who the hell would dress like that, IN SILENT HILL? Too many Pyramid Head jokes gone down the toilet it would seem....

For three, I know the whole game is about multiplayer but....the REAL Silent Hill series was about ONE person undergoing hallucinagenic phases. How can they all see the same monster?

I like the fact it has a multiplayer option, but not a great game tho. Downpour is going to be okay ( i cant wait for the soundtrack, let's see what this Dexter guy has to bring) And the HD release of SH 2 and 3 ... well... that's AMAZING ! as long as they don't screw it up. As far as i know, the SH2 HD will have all the original voices.

this looks like a really fun game! Not a silent hill game but a fun one. if i ever do get a psvita then im definitly getting this. If you dont like it, then thats ok, its not a good looking game silent hill wise but it still looks like a really fun game with an interesting story. It will end up being another SH4 some people will like it others will hate it.

Origins is pretty good for a PSP game (it was originally intended to be PSP-only) that is not developed by Team Silent. Shattered Memories is a masterpiece, and if you don't realize this I can only pity you. Sure, it's not a typical Silent Hill game, yet it's a great game by itself. I bet you love SH4 then - it is a Team Silent game that is not a typical SH.
