Such a shame XTC retired from live work as they were such an innovative band. Every time, they performed a song, it was different. Especially Andy, totally manic and genius like. I love it when he knows the next line in hid=s head but isnt quite sure which way to deliver it ... so he he just gaffoobles it!!! ( I made that word up obviously but you know what I mean )

the point is that xtc wrote the song... primus may have done a good version of the song but this is the original there for better.

I'm not saying that this particular song is an example of that, but a song isn't automatically better because it's the original. another band/artist can well make a better or completely different version of an old song

The more of these videos I see, the more I believe that Mr. Gregory was the glue that kept this whole musical dynamo from flying apart in all directions. Andy may have had a problem, but could they have performed at such a high energy level for much longer?

XTc opened up for the Police in 1980 whatever and totally stole the show. I bought every album thery had the next day and every album them sold from that day forward. Thanks for the memeories.....

Dave Gregory is hitting it squarely, but Andy seems downright impaired or very sick of his own art in this concert. He seems to take the most interest in his most recent work, and can't be bothered to even sing the older tunes. However, I did once read an interview where he said he hated to hear how he'd mug his vocals in the early period.
