It depends what you want from your drawing. They each have their own usefulness. For example, you see the use of 3 point perspective a lot in comic books. It can give you a dynamic shot of a supper hero flying though a city.
dude great vid and well explained thx :P !!!! i just have one question... those buildings before the end of the video, were made with 2 points? or 3?, i can't understand why is the building curved (that is in fron of the viewer almost at 6:00), do u used 2 or 3 points? and why the third point?, i hope u understand my question. I will be very happy with an answert thx :D
Question, maybe a stupid one.......Is there anybody capable of perspective drawings such as this and others..... who can draw with out the use of lines and geometry , if that makes sense???
This perspective in this video is freehand perspective. You can losely sketch what you want your image to be then work in your lines to give it more accurate perspective. The lines are just guides to help you.
Thank you for your vids, you always seem to find an interesting angle to quite a mundane problem. Your approach seems to take off the pressure of a more rigid, formal setting while still emphasizing the necessity of focus and hard work.
Yet, on this specific problem Id rather go with Scott Robertsons instruction. His material is more condensed, all essentials and motivates through demo'ing a professional application.
I've seen a lot of art videos on youtube, but Sheldon's are THE BEST. He describes everything so well. This guy is is awesome.

You spelled perspective wrong in the title, in case you care.

So how do you know when you should use one, two, or three points perspective?
