  • It looks a bit like Jeffery Winger from Community...except, you know, just a head.

  • There does not seem to be a send private comment on your channel.. I wanted to send you a private message to see if your interested in a business proposition regarding the animatronic heads, please send me a personal youtube message as there is no other means of communicating properly on your channel privately.. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • who dislike this??

  • Eeeeekers! That's WEIRDLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT! 8D

  • gotta luv the teeth

  • Guess infuture we really won't be able to tell whether some1 is a robot.

  • it's Harkness from fallout 3.

  • I for one welcome our robotic overlords.

  • It looks like Perez hilton.

  • oh its very ugly but.... nice work

  • Kill it!!

  • o no i have to watch out now if people are robots or human

  • THis reminds me of the outer limit

  • THE ROBOT APOCALYPSE IS NEIGH!!

  • Is a beautiful head, my compliments.

  • It's so realistic it almost looks like a real human face photo-shopped in...beyond amazing..is the skin in eco-flex silicone?

  • @joeyvader Cheers, the silicone is "Dragon skin" from smooth-on. Think its an eco-flex with a special name is all. The trick is to soften it with silicone oil or in this case the "slacker" product from smooth-on.

    Hope that helps.

  • @mkblaze Thanks for the reply..I have made masks from Dragon Skin, but haven't delved into anything this cool...

  • Best so far!

  • Soon there will be one in every household including the body cant wait

  • make one in full body..I think he;s cute:) he dosn't need to talk, just smile and ruff sex face:) And WELL built too ( WINK )

  • That's remarkable. I've seen quite a few of these, and you've successfully bridged the uncanny valley. Am I correct in assuming that you're only using a 6 servo rig (with the exception of the lids and eyes)?

  • They said I was mad.. >3>

    WITCHCRAFT I SAY! WITCHCRAFT!!

  • That is the creepiest fucking thing i have ever seen in my entire life

  • So. creepy.

  • That's fucking creepy

  • that's really good. you could go pro with your skills

  • this is the first animatronic head that actually looks a lil more natural lol

  • Whoa! Now what in the world is stopping them from applying this to say, Actroid or one of the other communication bots? This looks so realistic and the others still look so...plastic.

  • its great, i like it :D

  • when he closes his eyes you could think he thinks.... scary robot haha!

  • I honestly thought that was Green Screen Technology, but that's WAY cool.

  • JESUS CHRIST what ta hell are they doing with my brother´s head?!!!!

  • Deeply disturbing o.O

  • omg

  • how many servo's does it use?

  • 7 Servos in total :-

Eyes look L/R - Blink - Brow - Top Lip - Jaw - and Left & Right smile indepentantly. Time didn't allow for any more.

  • @mkblaze Ignore my previous question. Just saw your earlier answer.

  • wow most realistic animatronic ever seen.Kudos.

  • I think one thing besides the smoothness of the movements, the shine in the eyes makes it seem more lifelike. I've been watching other videos of animatronics and many of them have "dull" looking eyes.

  • Funny it's one thing I have noticed myself both in animatronics and in still figures is how much the eyes bring it to loife and the shine is one of the biggest parts of that. That is why I would advise using glass eyes over acrylic even though they are harder to work with since they keep their shine!

  • holy shit that thing is so real! far better than anything any Asian has made, and way better than that crap out of japan!

  • it's made by an asian

  • @MicroMistery - nope, made by an Irishman actually!!!

  • @mkblaze WE ROCK!! lol ...I need a beer!

  • Wow...that's really well done.

  • Are you guys kidding me, its blatantly fake, the reason it doesnt look like an animatronic is becuase someones green screened their face and put it on a semi transparent layer on a video editing software, there probably is a mobile that shape but the face has been superimposed onto it.

  • @hypergames It is real. I saw it in the "flesh"

  • Cheers Hypergames, thats actually a very good comment in disguise :) For you to jump to the conclusion that it is a real face composited into the shot means I have done my job better than I had hoped! I can assure it is a real animatronic, and the video is unaltered as seen during exhibit.

  • @mkblaze MK you gotta post a video of it and remove the face skin live... that would put the issue to rest. Very good job.

  • Just found a clip I'd been looking for pre- skin application while testing :) I'll put it into a video with oother examples so watch this space........Finally :)

  • Wow, that looks too real!

  • OMG I thought that was a real face, good job

  • thats wired. but AWSOME

  • This is absolutely amazing work.

  • most realistic I've seen. All of the others are too jumpy and look fake.

  • thats the way they could reconstruct destroyed faces but NO they use flesh. idiots. do you know the woman with the jabba face?

  • it would be really cool if they did that-machanical facial reconstruction. there is the technology to connect a robotic arms movements to the brain so a face may work too but then again having a bath may require taking it off of something...

i dunno how it would work but still this is amazing!

i wonder how far robots will get in our life time and if that 1960s idea of the future of robots all walking about and flying cars and that may actually happen one day. you never know XD

  • that is incredible!

    great work

  • Its a Terminator ! ahh!

    That looks pretty real!

  • THIS IS MIND BLOWINGLY AMAZING!

Man I wish we could hire you in to do some work for our haunt.

    FANTASTIC JOB!

  • this is what murphy would look like from robocop before they put it on the robo body lol

  • That looks so real.....

  • Thats realy cool, but kinda creepy too. Good work :)

  • looking so real :D

  • should have used global illumination ;)

  • Yeh but the render times just jump up to much :P Besides the fake GI with a dome of lights normally does me fine :) Wish my CG was up this standard but at least my animatronics is!!! Animation is my area within CG!!!

  • fuck he looks real

  • holy crap! u ain't kidding

  • Incredible!

  • shit! i want a head like that.

  • That is the best video i have seen in my life

  • Hmmmmm, may be useful for the posatronic brain I'm assembling @ my house.....

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • could be CGI,MAYBE NOT

  • Na not CGI:) you can see my CGI work on my other videos. Hope to get a video and images up some time of the internals and workings! Just no time at present coz i'm traveling!! Its a compliment you think it could be though, Thanks!

  • WOW

  • It looks real, facial expression is wow.

So cool, i would love to see a full robotic human walking around, be able to talk to it etc.

  • Check out Hanson Robotics, not quite full body walking robots but their getting there! Very impressive and they CAN talk to you!!!

  • Very Nice!! Will it be available to view anytime in the future/ Thanks! Rob

  • Cheers Rob, only ever was on show twice. Once at my graduate show in Dun Laoghaire Ireland, and then as part of the 'New Blades' exhibit in London. Hope to have the chance to show it to the public again soon, but no plans at the moment. Also plan on either improving it or having a new character to meet the world by that stage. -Martin

  • Very organic and natural looking! Amazing! Silicone skin?

  • Thank you very much. Yep its silicon, known as "Dragon skin" from a company called 'Smooth-on', and softened with a product called 'Slacker'

  • I just did a head cast with their Bodydouble silicone, and did the head in Dragonskin with Slacker added. It was tough to get a good buildup of silicone..then I heard about Thivex, which thickens the silicone and allows it to adhere to a verticle surface...wish I had known! Next time!

  • Smooth-on are so expensive! Have you not tried Notcutts... they do a great Platsil.

  • wow!
