@ilovehonda20 that counts as you: skinny in muscle-terms means no muscle. In your case, they mean 'skinnyfat', a bodybuilding term used to describe someone with high bodyfat but low muscle. Skinny-muscle, high-fat = skinnyfat = skinny guy.
You can just control your diet, eat wholemeal carbs etc for a bit, you'll lose fat, and lift weights at the same time. You'll achieve your goals. Skinny in muscle building means low muscle, not necessarily low fat. Just follow their advice.
What if I am starting out and I'm a fat mother fucker?
I have been doing gym for about 5 months now, body fat is steadily dropping and muscle gains and strength gains are fine. I still have about 20% body fat to drop whilst building muscle. Will I still plateau in a year burning fat and bulking at the same time even if my body fat is still around 10-15%?
@swatts1987 youll be fine youre bodys not going crazy searching for energy because if youre high in bf then youre body already stored a whole bunch of it as fat youll be able to gain muscle and drop fat easily but you might not be able to tell for a while and youre weight might be inconsistent meaning itll be up and down

I started bulking at around 7 or 8%, 8 pack and all. I have now started a clean bulk - I am gaining mainly muscle but also a bit of fat, my 8 pack is just about still there but won't be for long.
Been clean bulking 2 months, always on a good surplus, will probably have an OK 6 pack still when I finish in about 6 months but it will make cutting period shorter and easier whilst keeping all that rock hard muscle!
Basically, I agree with Twins: more muscle = more fat.

@Suhwayme hodge twins advise to way at LEAST 2 - 4 days before hitting the same muscle again.. if your muscle is not sore and feeling good you can hit it again. you dont NEED a whole week of rest to hit it again.. but thats how i do it due to time constraints.

yo twin, i got about 16 percent body fat but im a skinny mofo. Let say i dont consume enough to maintain (2300 Cal), will i stil gain muscle working out while my body uses that fat storage (16%) to cover me?

@YoungSteve17 not if you continue train all your muscle groups and eat like there's no tomorrow and try to get a normal amount of sleep (which is pretty hard in basic training)

I think I may be a genetic freak, because I've been working out for 3 years, my body fat is at about 6 percent and still see fairly consistent gains. Could it be because I'm still young?

@Suhwayme hodge twins advise to way at LEAST 2 - 4 days before hitting the same muscle again.. if your muscle is not sore and feeling good you can hit it again. you dont NEED a whole week of rest to hit it again.. but thats how i do it due to time constraints.

Dude that is so fuckin true when ya think about it! During the winter time you wanna build up mass and some fat cause it will keep your body warmer during the colder climate like caveman times lol. then during spring. you wanna be shirtless on the beach and wont need nearly as much fat to stay warm cause of the hot climate so its naturally to wanna lean out XD I never really thought bout it till I Heard this lol. thanks
