@ZachTheUnholy You have to remember that most in the green lanterns are ALIENS, their physiology is much different from ours. Like Superman, he looks like an ordinary human in size, but he's strong enough to bend steel with his fingers.

@SSVCloud He proved that if Kilowog's will can't stand up to a simple drill sergeant, then he is definitely not prepared for the trials ahead.

Also, he kind of proved that Superior Officers might just be superior because they can kick your ass.

This was a really cliched fight, lazily setup, you could pretty much guess everything from Deegan striking first with a U.S army stereotypical attitude to deegan standing just too close to kilowog so he gets kicked to a wall. basically this fight relies on the overrated concept that size doesn't matter when fighting. When it perfectly well does if your opponent is twice your height and is more then double in muscle.

@thebuckrogers22 its the babel fish excuse, its an excuse used when sci-fi writers can't be arsed to write a million different alien languages. The aliens aren't speaking english we're just hearing english (the rings have in built in translators/the story is being told by hal jordon)

Deegan was based on a more humanoid lantern in the comics called Ermey, they look nothing alike, but both in personality and role they play for the corp they are identical, Also both invented the word POOZER
