On a slightly unrelated note, epic subtle message in the last movie. No matter how big and powerful the mechs became, standing on galaxies and withstanding the big bang. The end demonstrated that process of growth in reverse, that through it all, the final battle came back down to one man, and the strength of his fists, his spirit, and his drill. The show starts as a boy and his drill, the movie ends on the very same note. Poetic.

While this is virtually a carbon copy of a [MAD] that has been banned several times, it's still well done with fresh content. I'll be the first to admit I loathe My Chemical Romance. But I'll be damned if there isn't something about the combo of Gurren Lagann and Black Parade that makes it simply epic. So kudos Gurren Lagann, the only anime that can make MCR sound good. xD
