  • First '45 I ever bought - pity they didn'y have Lyndsey de Paul on the video !!!!!

  • I saw Ian Hunter a few weeks ago in Bristol, and for a 71 year old he still has it, totally awsome, he played this and All the way from Memphis and All the Young Dudes for the encore with Mick Ralphs coming in to add extra guitar for those songs. I went seven shades of dipshit along with the rest of the audience. Cracking night.

  • This was a big abulm in USA 1974 FM radio.

  • love the fact Hunter sings over the pre recording rather than just mime.

  • love the Mott ....are they drum sticks or scaffold poles? hahaha

  • LOL! That host's hair FTW! Yes!

  • Oh bliss! - Brilliant 70's glam!

  • Thing with Mott was...they'd write a beautiful little tune...great intro, verse chorus...and then just shit on it from three miles up in the middle. Every time...they sabotaged just about every song they wrote. This is one of the worst examples. 'There's a rockabilly party...' voila! song shat on.

  • Thats the best bit misery guts!!!

  • Yeah...suppose I did sound a bit spleeny. Fair cop.

  • @nitsuac yeah they ruined that part of the song by doing that

  • @nitsuac Good call, could've loved this song apart from the shite at the end, and you're right, all the songs that could have been great have been reduced to cartoon nonsense by the inexplicable rant. Why oh why....

  • @nitsuac I agree in one aspect, almost all of the guitar solos suck big time. best example is "all the way from memphis"

  • Mott or T rex ? tough call

  • I love this song I can remember being at Adam and eves disco in Burton on Trent and dancing to this song fantastic !!!!!!!!!

  • Check out the size of the drum sticks,,lol,, like a couple of /fence posts..lol

  • Ronaldo

  • Whereas Leon R.'s song is new-age Christian, Ian's is a sharp chastisement of the religion and its exemplars for its life-negating vision. He is so right that we must not be "cold and so alone". Instead we should embrace life with the zest of Mott the Hoople and the critical vision of its lead singer/talker - the incomparable Ian [may he live into his hundreds] Hunter (Patterson). Greg G. of Portland

  • Mott is Rock-N_Roll

  • looks like Edgar Winter doing the intro.... This is fantastic footage, captures those years very well ...

  • His name was Jimmy Saville.(intro) British D.J.SSSSssssssssssssssss

  • Johny Winter?

  • lol the drumsticks! =)

    Great Band Great Song

  • Mott The Hoople reunion, 1,2,3 october 2009, hammersmith apollo, london

  • EAT A DICK FUCKHEAD.

  • i agree with girpo. mott the hoople was the fucking bomb. so chikotntw, you can suck on a super dick.

  • yeah go suck it

  • These guys were kicking ass long before you took your first munch on your daddy's rod, you toothless redneck

  • It's Marlene from Only Fools and Horses as one of the three women backing singers

  • CLASS

  • Now then, now then, now then, what have we here?

  • Love how he made sure the mic was on and sang it anyway.

Sha la la la push push.
