The police do not have choppers for such operations, only the military has, and they were not called upon. Remember Norway has a small population of 5 million ppl spread across a huge erea. The police has never had any need for choppers to carrie personel before. The police had to suit up, get their gear, drive alle the way to Utoya.

The police do not have choppers for such operations, only the military has, and they were not called upon. Remember Norway has a small population of 5 million ppl spread across a huge erea. The police has never had any need for choppers to carrie personel before. The police had to suit up, get their gear, drive alle the way to Utoya.

@Tordenguden In the German media they say that two out of three choppers have been under maintance while the third one was flying around somewhere at the bomb detonation (?) whilst others say there has been bad communication. Fact for me is, if they have to get to a place where a terrorist attack happend, and they need to drive there for ages, that that's a failure. Oh and we got told that it was a special force called "Delta". Bah I don't know what to believe or not these days in the media.

@Streetpfosten Media is clearly lying. The police has only one chopper, and that chopper is made for 2 pilots, not a crew of policemen. The communication system has been updated to a new system newly, and was not yet built in the rural erea, only in central parts, so there was some problems. Delta is a police force, a special one in that case, but not a special force. Yeah i know, media is full of it here in Norway too, sadly.
