I am in a condo on the 3rd floor and we have metal towers with electric lines on them about 100 yards from our building. Also I am using an antenna made from 2 full size metal slinkys set as a dipole indoors.
Doesn't sound like you have much noise to cancel... we just had a power outage here and the noise floor was set to S-0 ... when power came back, instant S-9 noise floor... Can't wait to see what the 1026 I just ordered does for that.
I think the problem here is power line noise as it came on like a light when the power came back.
