recording's do not capture the unbelievable sound rod gets on a chromatic, live you feel like a mack truck bearing down on you and it is a thing of beauty
Move someone's soul Rod? I just wanna tell ya that On numerous occasions your playing has got to me Man. And it's usually during a part of the song that's subtle but, I get it Man and I thank you. If y'all ain't never heard Ghosting - well....it is no doubt in my mind a true masterpiece. And I'm happy to recognize it as such. We need to stop waiting till these cats are gone before appreciating the music. Wherever you are, right now - tonight - do something for the Blues. Love ya Man
I always liked and respected the chromatic but had no desire to play one, untill I heard rod piazza live. It was an incredible sound like a mack truck bearing down on you. Ever since then I have gotten a chromatic and from time to time try to get that Rod piazza sound.
awesome interview, it's invaluable to hear how a player like Rod thinks about his art, thanks so much. i've seen Rod play for 30 years and hearing him talk about it brings a whole other dimension to hearing him play.
didn't know who Rod Piazza was until about four years ago. I now have a shelf full of this Cats stuff. His style opened up a whole new world to me on the harp. His chromatic work is really soulful and he's got great licks. thanks for sharing and Keep rockin Rod, you're the man!

I really enjoy the interviews with the professional harmonica players. I learn so much of 'behind the scenes' stuff. --- Thanks
