This guy is so good it is sick!!!! I top out on flight of the bumblebee @ 240. My left hand can go faster but @ 280 my picking hand can't keep up. He recently upped his own record to 340. I believe that has since been beat, but who cares, it is mind boggling. I have spent half my life locked in a room practicing my chops and I can't touch it. You rock brother!!

@50calsniperrifle steve vai, petrucci, and malmsteen all praise him. and he has the world record for fastest guitar picking. and it had to be accurate. he played flight of the bumble bee at 320 bpm. it doesnt even sound humanly possible to play something like that, so cleanly.
@KEN117MC he had the world record, but just as it seems humanly impossible to play at that speed, it is humanly impossible to see if he was actually playing at that speed... to play at 320bpm means you play 160bpm picking in one direction only. i find that very hard to believe. somewhere in that world record he played tercets, its just so fast you cant hear its off-rhythim

I really don't get it how every video in youtube, of someone playing guitar (better than most people), 90% of the comments are hate. And sometimes, they're from the same people. @imasspeons The reason behind that is because he's playing a bunch of scales and modes in the wrong order, which is why it sounds jumbled. Those skills are a painful science unfortunately.
Excercises like that can help build up a guitarists riff library but a guitarist needs to do more than just that. It sounds like nothing but finger exercises after 20 seconds. Play with feeling like Gary Moore and add a couple riffs like the ones in this video and you're on your way to being a complete guitarist.

I really don't get it how every video in youtube, of someone playing guitar (better than most people), 90% of the comments are hate. And sometimes, they're from the same people. Just like I'd go to a rap video saying "THIS GUY CAN'T EVEN SPEAK!!!", which I won't, because I respect other people, even if they wouldn't have a single brain cell...

Everyone who posts videos to youtube, where they play guitar... it's not about what they play, how they play, how much skill they have, etc. It's irrevelant, because people like you go give "criticism" in their videos. And that can lead to the guitarists getting death threats. That's how far it goes. Now if you say THAT'S criticism, you're referring to freedom of speech: "death threats are fine if I'm not gonna kill him!"

To all the haters. I agree. This dude is just fast. If I practiced Flight of the Bumblebee for 10 hours a day for a year I might get to this speed. But this is all I would be able to play. Basically what this guy is doing. Because all the videos he has are either him noodling shit or playing Flight over and over. So musical right? Haha, I laugh at whoever thinks this guy is a good guitars. Technically impressive, but musically retarded.

First off, you don't know what this guy is capable because you're making your assumption based merely on what you see on youtube. Second, if he's playing something fast, it doesn't in any way mean that he cannot play slowly and with melody. It's like saying that since I see an individual playing piano only,

@mrmaybe Deluded? Im not randomly assuming anything. Maybe I am assuming he sucks based on all the videos of him I have watched on youtube. But they aren't random. How many more videos must i see before I see him playing under 120 bpm and at quarter notes? Probably a while since he hasn't release much in a few years. I would probably see more of him if he was soo special. As you can see, this is all we see of him. Which is really nothing more than noise to me.

Since we haven't seen him do either of the above, saying that he "sucks" is nothing more than foolish. " I would probably see more of him if he was so special." That statement assumes a lot. First, you're assuming he has something to prove to people. Second, he is special since he's probably the only on the world playing this fast. Third, he plays what would make him stand out.

But as a fellow guitarists all I see him as is someone that plays fast. I've listened to his record. Everything is played straight/fast/without feel. No not facial expression. Feel as in the music itself. I feel his music is very stale. The same with his playing style. Just fast like a computer.

To some individuals, the way it is played now might be seen as filled with emotion. You claim you're criticizing him, yet you're basing it on personal beliefs rather than seeing it for what it is: a flawlessly played lead.

@mrmaybe I didn't say it had to be slowed down. Fast can have feeling. Listen to shawn lane. He doesn't use it all the time. But when you see him use it. You feel it. Speed should be a tool to be used when needed. not as a first resort. What it is might be flawlessly played. But that is not what i am arguing here. I am arguing the absence of feeling. I'm basing my critique on experience. I have seen great guitarists. Della is not one of them. The greats know when to play fast.

@imasspeons The reason behind that is because he's playing a bunch of scales and modes in the wrong order, which is why it sounds jumbled. Those skills are a painful science unfortunately.

Excercises like that can help build up a guitarists riff library but a guitarist needs to do more than just that. It sounds like nothing but finger exercises after 20 seconds. Play with feeling like Gary Moore and add a couple riffs like the ones in this video and you're on your way to being a complete guitarist.

Arpeggios are perfect for those who cannot play more than two finger chords.
I'd love to hear these guys play an actual song comprised of 3-4 finger chords. And before you torch this post keep in mind that I do not doubt their skill, I just think their playing would be that much better with it!
