The guys are older now. Period. They don't always have the same fire and energy that they used to, but so what? (Aside from maybe McCready, who seems young and healthy as hell). They are still the best band in the world.

@mubnut Don't know what you're talking about. Last time I saw them (just last year) Eddie slid down the audience dodging security guards (he's too fast) and ended covered in mud as the rest of us. McCready did a 3-minute solo, guitar on his back. Jeff was all over the stage, crazy man. Matt's pounding on the drums, I swear my heart was gonna explode. Stone, I have never seen someone smile so much while playing from beginning to end. Harper & Farrel joined in a bit. PJ committed arson that night.

sorry dude but you couldn't be more wrong. Yes, they are still around but compare any live or studio performance with Dave Abbruzzese and current drummer Matt Cameron. The difference is obvious. Much better to see early live performances than the stuff today. Dave A. is way more talented drummer. The proof is in the videos and the sounds. Pretty simple to notice.

I think that was not a reason to fire Dave but Jack Iron helped Eddie and than Eddie bring Jack to Pearl Jam.

I'm not going to claim to know 100% the reason they fired Dave, but everything I've heard or read suggests it was all personality and not ability at all. If they thought Dave overplayed why keep him around for 3 albums. Yes I know Krusen recorded Ten but Abbruzzese did most of the touring for it.

It would be cool if they brought dave A back for a 20th aniverssary show but its seems they still dont like him.Pearl Jam was so special with him and now they sell alot of tickets but the music just lacks something. Cameron is aweful in Pearl Jam
