  • Oh heavens, where am I into? loll, 2 times he did this just to shut them up. I am sorry, but that is really funny!! loll And they respected it, check it out!.. loll

  • Its 2012 and ELVIS IS STILL THE KING.

  • elvis par toujours mon bon ami!!! magnifique!!

  • thank you so much for this. elvis was a wonderfully talented and beautiful man both inside and out. his rendition of this song brings tears to my eyes. he brought so much joy and happiness to many people. elvis was and will always be a true star. gone, but never forgotten.

  • When ELVIS is surrounded by all the other people on that show, do you really ever notice them ?

    12-2-11

  • HE IS SO HANDSOME I'M GONNA DIIIIIIIEEEE!

  • OMG

  • a great example of his falsetto talent. what a gem to have of his early stuff. this ,afterall, is his last live tv performance til 1968.

  • ELVIS , then and NOW , the COOLEST guy that ever lived.

    10-23-11

  • So, folks, who'dya wanna listen to ? Frankie or Elvis ? No contest really !

  • Elvis is the BEst man ever in the entertainment industry in the world #1

  • Elvis is a True Classic Star!! the GREATEST on the Planet today Tomorrow and Forever #1 LOVE HM!!!:)-

  • such a great video..........funny, and rich with the "young " elvis personality that we all loved....a little unsure what to do since sinatra really did not introduce him formally---he just left it hanging. elvis did not know if he was supposed to come out or not and that is what makes it so great. you could see the vulnerable elvis, the "ordinary guy" elvis that was so appealing in the early days...........the "vegas " elvis is not even this same person. so sad the slide downward . it hurts.

  • And this is a great example as to why I say SHAME to all of the terribly ignorant people on this Earth who have EVER for ANY reason made any kind of claim that this man could not sing. Not only could he sing, he had the stage presence, the dance moves, the eyes, the hair, the walk, the talk, the sweetheart of gold, the manners... ough and there is just too much more to mention, so lets just say ELVIS HAD IT ALL. Forever and always the King<3 Btw, check out "Singing with Angels" - tribute to him

  • @imzeeclever1 Yeah that is what's sad. A lot of people today see him as the guy in the jumpsuit. They never realized how good looking and a great singer he really is!

  • !! ELVIS PRESLEY YOU ARE THE BEST !!

  • in those days, if you want to plug your new album or song, you better have a voice (like Elvis) to perform it LIve. Thats the big difference between now and then.

  • in those days, if you want to plug your new album or song, you better have a voice (like Elvis) to perform it LIve. Thats the big difference between now a days.

  • Umm Elvis is still the greatest

  • this was post army so his body weight was a little down on his normal and i think being black an white footage and in a suit gave the aperance of being a tad taller mayby.peace

  • we want Elvis!

  • El Rey Elvis tan tierno y simpatico...

miren como le da verguencita cuando las chicas gritaban por él!!!

  • The most influential singing GOD that ever lived...period-ELVISEAN

  • Elvis Presley Lives On

  • a angel sing

  • He definitely looked so much taller here. Or is it just the video was stretched or something?

  • @elvispresley11

    clothes + being super skinny

  • @elvispresley11 He was about 6ft tall so he was generally pretty tall. But you are right he does look a bit taller for some reason. Can't really tell why though.

  • @lintlikr it may cuz of the shoes...you know the more kind of official shoes that go with the costume

  • @interneda98 I'm not sure. Elvis usually wore two tone brogues, which if you google them, look to have 1/2 inch heels. But hey, you're guess is as good as mine.

  • @lintlikr well, yeah i don't know...ive seen all the welcome back home show but trough i haven't got to see what he wore...anyway he is still so amazing...the best...God, he was perfect :) i love him...TCB, TCE, TLC :)

  • Best voice ever Bettyann Connor

  • He was sodamn charming.

  • Classy performance

  • Beautiful, love it. Much better than the studio version. Elvis forever!

  • Mr Handsome !!!...

    Wowww.....Love It

  • Fame and fortune killed Him

  • @melkiemelkie close but the memphis mafia killed him for his fame n fortune, try being the symbolism of THE American dream n see how it ends up much like Elvis Presley!

  • @Thehourglassoflife sry but that's Adam Lambert man! :)

  • OMG Elivs <3 <3 <3 Love U forever and ever!!!

  • ELVIS is so great, I think Vernon n Gladys should also be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

  • He looks so tall!

  • Well Elvis was 6'1

  • oh my god elvis was so beautiful here, when he was young wow i cant believe he pass away the way he did!! so sad no one took care of his health or himself!! unbelievable!!! i get so sad and angry that he couldnt live a long healthy life! i love elvis!

  • Loving you always Elvis!!! Absolutely Amazing!!! Frankie I love you too!

  • aww poor frankie--i love both of them soo much(:

  • the king doin his thing............neil

  • I heard that his diet consisted of eating obscenely large amounts of food, and that when he died he had 160lb* of compacted faeces in his colon.

  • @AshtrayanConvict

What about it? You've never been sick before? In his case, he was violently ill and still performing out of selflessness for his fans and the people who work for him. That DEFINES greatness.

Shame on anybody who judges Elvis Presley.

  • Such a beautiful song. Like most Elvis songs I loved it from the moment I heard it. It's very intimidating to cover an Elvis song but I tried to sing it in my own way and at the same time stay true to the original. Check it out on my channel and let me know what you think :)

  • he had something no one else had . the man had it all . he really was in a class all his own ...

  • he had something no one else had . the man had it all .

  • Loved seeing this. Thanks so much for posting. I love all kinds of music, even some metal, but Elvis was in a class of his own.

  • yeahhh chuck berry!!!!

  • @vitalfew Really? Did you just compare the two? That's disgusting..

  • ever see these old commercials and get intrested about them? personaly i really like the one about the floor wax.

  • Funny, cuz adults in the 1950's said this music was crap. "todays music aint the same as what we had in the 30's and 40's".

  • @johnnyrocketisgod yeah but it's not just adults. how many times have you seen the comment "i'm only __ and love this old music!" there's lots of people today who like music taht was around before their time. people today get hooked on fads way to fast. jsut look at artists like the jonas brothers. Elvis was loved from his first appearence to his last and will always be remembered.

  • Sheer Sheer Class. What More Cn U sAY about The Guy [RIP] Thanx So Much For The Post Friend

  • This is Classic at it's best, anyone who is trying to compare this to todays crap, really should get their head examined.

  • @pdfma66 you mean shot! lol. this is music at its best!!!

  • whoever says Elvis lip synched obviously has no brain. back then music was based on real talent, not on people who computer generate their voices to make them sound good, then sound like shit live or lip synch live. back then was when true talent existed. sure, there are good singers out there now but no one will ever compare to this. & also to the people who say he lip synched; that didn't even exist back then. everything they did live was truly live.

  • wowzers!!!.......idn't he the hottest thing ever. Fresh outta the army so shy and nervous bless his heart.

  • Yes You cannot compare today's garbage to Elvis. Whioever does is not right in the head. So please you cannot compare classyness to trash. Its like you cannot compare Marilyn Monroe to Pamela Anderson. Marilyn was classy and Pamela is trash.

  • oh no some people are so small minded its unbelievable, and very sad, elvis never lip synced, and is and always will be the greatest, became no 1 in tthe space of 17 years, yeah ithink that genius not failure so he doesn't suck really does he ? weirdo's

  • Elvis critics pls leave!!!

  • This is really cute! ♥

  • Elvis still the King Today Tomorrow and Forever.

  • Elvis in complete control singing effortlessly well. At this time, his voice and vocal delivery were probably at their zenith.

  • Elvis is Forever Missed!!! I think the world would be Better if they just played his Music more on the Radio He's Forever #1 Love U Foever Sweet Elvis Presley

  • Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra were the greatest artists of the 20th century!!

  • @mdz255 Elvis obviously,but Frank?...Frank who???

  • @mdz255 you forgot Dean Martin ;-)

  • THE MOST HANDSOME MAN IN THE WORLD AND NOT TO MENTION THE VOICE! YUMMO!

  • If I was trapped on a deserted Island and only could pick one singer to have ,I would want Elvis to hear for the rest of my LIFE. I NEVER get tired of hearing his lovely voice.

  • @1ampixie THAT WOULD BE NICE.

  • For some reason, amongst all the more famous songs Elvis ever sang, this is one of my all time favourites!

  • One run through this clip explains why Presley remains not only the most successful solo recording artist of all time, but continues to hold fast as the single biggest SUPERSTAR the world has ever known. The reason is that no other entertainer ever had a combination with so many exquisite qualities. The looks, the voice, the charisma,..the incomparable charm. Simply The King.

  • @nate63able

You nailed it. I loved him as a little girl and still love him today as a woman. Thanks for so eloquently summarizing the ideal of what he meant.

  • @Odymull --Thanks so much for the compliment. As if we were mirror images...I loved him as a boy and still love and miss him today as a grown man. Undoubtedly...there will never be another quite like him. I would love to converse more with you,...if you would like. You sound very interesting and knowledgeable. I'd love to hear from you. E-mail me if you have the time. nate63able or ngpinkerton@dmacc.edu

  • @nate63able marvelous post

  • ELVIS....a STAR..from the moment he was born!

  • this upload is such a treat, thank you

  • While Sinatra's albums sold very well in the 1950s, he tried and failed on several different TV shows! With this show, he got Elvis as his guest when he got out of the US Army, so he would have a top-rated show. He never had a regular weekly TV show again, like Dean Martin, who came across more friendly on TV. Sinatra did however have two Emmy Award winning specials that were taped in color that were highly rated in the mid-1960s, one with Ella Fitzgerald that was very good.

  • I admire and have great respect for Sinatra, but the truth is that Elvis surpassed him, and became the number one in music....time stands and proves it

  • AWWWW. HE IS SOOOO ADORABLE.. IM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH HIS SMILE!!

  • Just fantastic! I want Elvis's memory to last till the end of time, and I think it will.

  • @ZeeZeeMee someday it will be classy again i hope it will

  • Sinatra humbled

  • I like this - it shows a different side to his personality. Was he really singing?

  • @monicag8 Hahah at first I thought he was lip synching too, because he sounds so good! But then at 1:34 and 3:16 he's like laughing while singing from the reaction in the audience, awww :)

  • @monicag8 At the time, there was no lip sync in live TV shows like we see today. If you watch close, you can see Elvis looking up sometimes, the microphone was above him

  • @ElvLeg I didn't know that. I thought he was looking up to make the light shine through his eyes to proove that they were blue.

  • @monicag8 Yes he was singing. Not lip synced.

  • The reason Presley remains the single biggest "Superstar" in history is evident here.

Certainly-looks and vocal quality are a subjective topic, but in my opinion, no other artist ever looked so good, sang so well, or had anywhere near Presley's charisma.

  • Wow, at first I thought he was lip synching because really, he sounded so mature and so good, until at 3:16 he kinda snickered and there was the noise, and I was like OMG! He's not lip synching, he's naturally this good! Wow, Elvis really matured after the army, and it's not bad either, he looked at gorgeous as ever.

  • Frank was jealous of elvis.

  • @porn1978 Actually, yes he was according to his one time wife Mia Farrah.

  • 50 years later and it still sounds great, the King lives!

  • There is not or ever will be anyone to match Elvis voice, talent, looks he had it all and no one but no one will ever match him

  • I love how Elvis had his own style and can hypnotise you i guess you could say when he sang. He's amazing..so breath taking and full of class! i have no clue why people compare him to any of the crap we have today. God bless you Elvis! R.I.P!

  • this is the best of the king

  • Love this , what a great personality Thanks for posting ..RIP Elvis.

  • great song

  • AHHHH I love this song!!!!!

  • @ZeeZeeMee well there was a general love of class back especially in artist like Elvis

  • LOOOVE YOU ELVIS ! <3

  • My boy!!FANTASTIC!!!!

  • oh lord my god

  • Greatttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • I knew Elvis was tall but when I saw his stage costumes at Graceland I realized just how tall he was, long legs slim waste. wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ELVIS THE GIANT!!

  • FRANK LOOKS TINY!!

  • @lingopresley TYPICAL SHORT ITALIAN.

  • King of music, thankyou retrovintage.

  • What did hi watch up there?

  • the mic-boom

  • Pause at 3:20

  • @vitalfew don't even compare Elvis to that garbage.

  • @ScarletandGreyx i agree!!!

  • God bless you forever Elvis You are always Remebered and Loved forever!!! Kell

  • 2 bass players! cool

  • I heard that in this day, Elvis was making funny with the way (the maners) of Frank.

So Elvis was smiling from himself.

  • i wasn't even alive when Elvis was around, but this song is great and when ever i hear it i just wish Elvis was alive today, must have been great to see him perform

  • I am so sorry you were not around when Elvis was but there are lots of wonderful songs Elvis sang. Please enjoy as I have for the last 50 years. It is lovely to know someone so young can appreciate Elvis.

    Bless you

  • @rosechris48 It's sad. Don't get me wrong I love today's music, becouse once you look through the mainstream stuff there is some good in the background. But nothing will compare to Elvis, Sanatra, or any of those guys. Wish I lived then :s

  • this is my faveorite elvis song!!!

  • Me too!! :)

  • he is a prodigy. straight talent and natural charisma.

  • Elvis was the same person with the same voice whether he was skinny or heavy. All you critics who talk about his weight look in the mirror. Now talk about someone's weight. I'll bet when he was overweight that he still got more women than most men could get in 10 lifetimes of being a stone cold playboy. Case closed. Elvis was great until he passed.

  • talk about sexy! Elvis will forever be in our hearts he is sooooo sexy rrroar! lol

    January 8 1935 - August 16 1977

  • My comment is a reply sketchheart1. It is not a stand-alone statement.

  • he has a natural smooth sounded voice made for ballads ! then he can turn around and sing a rock song and sound even better . dont know to many or really i dont know to many artist that can pull that off . either you sing rock and suck at ballads or the other way around . I can say he perfected his voice with time and was close to perfection .

  • I agree with you, gautden. Elvis is easily the most versatile artist of our time. He had hits with rock, ballads, country, blues and even light classical such as "It's Now Or Never" and "Surrender". To my knowledge, no other artist has achieved that.

  • @MrsPresleyLennonFrey and on top of it he had to most uncommon look ever , he had perfect features from the side , front , back , he had it all .one of the reasons we speak of him so much 31 years after his death ! must of been pretty amazing to have him in front of you with his guitar singing a ballad no wonder women loved so much :)

  • I hear you, gautden. He had the whole package. I always say that the "Idols" series started because of Elvis. The music industry has been looking for another perfect pop idol ever since Elvis started out in 1956, but no one has ever quite made the grade. "Idols" is all Elvis' fault, LOL! ;-)

I've been an Elvis fan for 25 years and I was born 11 months before he passed away. I've been dreaming about him singing to me for many years! [blush]

  • i've been a fan for about 32 years started at 5 years old , the day he died ! saw a special about him on tv and i juts got hooked since ! sing and play guitar because of him :)

  • Wow, amazing! I sing too, and was inspired to start playing guitar because of Elvis.

What's more amazing is that I have a friend your age who is an Elvis tribute artist, and who I met this year. He, too, became a fan at 5 years of age and he's very talented. We've performed together and it was absolutely fantastic!

  • Well dont know if im talented or not i keep it for myself , I do think i can sing but sometimes others do not think the same lol . Have any vids of you singing ?

  • Well, as long as you enjoy your singing and playing - that's all that matters. It enriches one's life.

I have a VHS video and a DVD that was made of me singing with my band at the time (2003 and 2005), but I don't have a clue how to upload videos, LOL!

    Thanks for the interest!

  • well they had michael jackson!
