Actually, she really was Christopher's biological aunt (she was Jeff Farraday's sister). JR just had her tracked down and paid her to threaten Bobby with a custody suit.

I am HUGE DALLAS AND J.R. fan but it was J.R. who lost ewing oil. Westar just bought it up as revenge dating back when Jock and ellie were about to divorce and JR offered to sell EWING oil to Jeremy Wendell. Jock told JR he would rather sell it rather than giving half to ellie. once elle and jock got back together jr backed out on Jeremy and from then on Jeremy went after JR for embarrassing him to the Westar board.
