I play WR for ELC (the red team with black helmets) and he seems a lot better in the vid then he actually was on the field. I had to block him when he was playing corner and i can say he is very strong. Wish him the best at Iowa

If you're talking about classes they go in then 4a would be the biggest schools in Iowa like Valley....3a would be a step down and that would be Harlan and SC Heelan.....2a schools would be like Solon, Sheldon, CL/GL.......It goes lower still to 1a and 8 man........you break up each class into districts and when i played in class 2a we had 8 districts I think.......

Brandon who?....Please i played for ELC and we shut him down....let me let you in on a secret...the athletes on my team are about half the athletes on the heelan team which also means we are a long way from the athletisism of division I football players...i wish all the luck to Brandon but i just don't see him making any sort of impact

Ok to start off i am a huge Iowa fan! I love this years recruiting class, and davis wegher and cotten headline it, but i have watched a lot of film with wegher and the on thing that i always see is that when he spins or when he cuts he lets the ball get away from his body and even though that is a little thing now it could turn into a huge problem in college(better talent). If he can fix that i dont see how he cant be an impact player as a true freshmen! Go Hawks!

i live in sioux city and have seen wegher play. to be honest he is just a fast kid in the minor 3A division. He outruns people from small schools and he will not do that in Division I.

I live near Sioux city too....I know what your saying but i heard he ran like a 4.3 and that will definetly work at the division I level...greene only ran a 4.5 and moreno from georgia ran a 4.6 at the combine.....Even if wegher only ran a 4.4 thats still some good speed...He's prlly not gonna be that every down back but if you rotate him with hampton i think, or hope, he'll be able to make some big plays for Iowa...we'll see i guess...

I've watched this highlight so many times and it just gets me so excited for next Iowa season...Stanzi hopefully gets even better this off season cuz he's gonna have wegher and hampton in the backfield and DJK, Jordan Cotton, and Keenan Davis as wide recievers...and if anyone has seen film on their recruits they got another huge basher at rb coming in named brad rogers i think....Iowa could be set for a high explosive offense in the next couple years...I'm pumped...

I don't trust these "recruiting" services; especially ESPN. I read their scouting report and then watch "certain players" highlights and the they completely contradict each other; and I can tell this b/c I used to coach football. Bottom line: Wegher is good enough to see playing time as a true freshman in a dual threat backfield w/ Jewel Hampton. They'd make a great combo rushing attack.

ESPN scouting report on Wegher says; "there just isn't much wiggle there" and rank him the 32nd best RB in the nation. I think they are hoping that fans w/ the ability to break down film don't check out his highlights b/c clearly they could see through that crap. Lemming of a man head of Scouts INC. Luginbill will do nothing to challenge the status quo of recruiting even w/ evidence to the contrary. Said the same about McGuffie last yr. when every other source said elusiveness was a strength.

Wow! I have watched Brandon play, he has the goods,for a truly great running back in major college ball. 5, 10 years from now Brandon's name and NEW accomplishments will be talked about. He has speed, power, acceleration, cutback ability, good blockers and coaching, many fine backs do....what sets him apart are gifted instincts and determination once he has the ball. A combination of hard work and a blessed athlete. Any major college in the country and he chooses Iowa....Way to go Hawks!!
