  • Very nice. Hope 2nd part is as good :)

  • why are you wasting our time and talking about the stickers and cubes?

  • The best 4x4 tutorial! Thanks

  • 3:45 to start tutorial

  • OMG

  • 3::45 to start tutorial. sorry. lol

  • 3:00 to start tutorial.

  • @Varomanxp Its ok, i'd recommend and X cube, rly expensive though. but a cheaper one but still good could be a shengshou v2

  • my rubik's 4x4 is the same size and weight as the eastshteen and it turns faster but it locks up when you try to put together 2 moves at once

  • 2:45 your warning was too late

  • i have had a rubiks for over a year and have solved it hundereds of time and it has never peeled

  • Yes

  • we all know eastsheen is better. but lets just give erno rubik a little credit for inventing the puzzle cube eh?

  • part 2 is blocked by safety mode help!

  • Well You are the blue knight :D

  • 2:33 youre not kidding

  • your a fail

my rubiks brand 4x4 stickers rock!

  • figure*

  • Got both my 2x2 and my 4x4 here in Japan.. But the faces are as followed

Blue is front, orange is top, yellow is left, green is right, white is back and red is bottom...

I have no problems solving the 2x2 or the 3x3 which i got in europ and the colors are "normal"... for some reason i am still having difficulties with the 4x4 =(

BUT! Out of all the tutorials here on youtube, thumbs up.. You have helped me the most =)

    Jasmin

  • YOURE NOT BEING SPECIFIC

saying that its intuitive then doing it and going over 1 case every 2 minutes deosnt really help me

  • Omg your good at this XD

  • right as you said the eastsheen 4x4 doest pop, mine exploded, boo

  • is this an advanced method?

  • is the basterd im the beach mother

  • memyselfandpi is a bit more explanitory, but still nice video.

  • after you did the green could you do the opposite side which is blue first?

  • my eastsheen came with an orange side and like the mastermorphix textured stickers

  • You didn't really say anything about the Eastsheen's sticker quality. Do they peel?

  • Nope, they are pretty good.

  • Thanks for the reply.

  • @LanceTheBlueKnight yes they do not easily but they do peel out

    :)

  • Lance..did you know it took me like 2 months to be able to put my Eastsheen 4x4x4 back together?

  • wow

  • i already new reduction without knowing.

  • Very good tutorial whole family enjoying learning this one from the 3 x 3... keep up the good work :)

  • how it is possible to solve 4 edges?

if you scramble the rest of the cube trying to solve interchanging or ratating 4 pieces

how the cube ends completely solved?

i mean the 4 edges and the rest of the cubewhat method is that?

  • i have a question for you, u said that you can make the color scheme w/e u want... but there are no corners that have both yellow and white, or that have both orange and red. so you have to use the 3x3x3 color scheme, right?

  • thats the idea.

  • just b4 for watching this video, i was like u know I'm not gonna watch this... I'm just going to figure it out myself. ANd I made it! im a genuis :P

  • :p well you know these assembly videos are intended for a slightly less courageous audience. It's mostly for young kids that are scared of wrecking their cubes by accident, thus wasting hard earned allowance money. :)

  • lol, well I'm 14... and 1st solved a 3x3x3 in 2008 mid november (with the help of a video ) Young kid, how old is that?

  • younger than 14, evidently.

  • I don't think a young kid would search on youtube "how to solve a 4x4x4 rubik's cube". Any young Kids watching this video???

    (talking to viewers)

  • The major demographic of my channel is like 10-17 year olds.

  • I'm 12, and I'm watching it :P

  • Great video! Keep it up.

Question: where do you get tiles for the Rubik's brand?

  • cubesmith

  • i have the icon there are no colors... sob, cry

  • same thing happened to me when i took it apart...took like 3 hours to get it right :( the 2x2x2 is even hard also :P

  • there are 2 other 4x4s, edison and mefferts

  • great tutorial. thanks!

  • This Helped ALOT!!

  • You don't explain how to do the green center

  • intuitive

  • yo my 3x3 is different

  • This is really not very good. In a tutorial you have to explain everything as if the viewer knows absolutely nothing. Explain the algorythms and everything. I give it a 6/10.

  • If they don't know anything they shouldn't be attempting to learn how to solve the (advanced) 4x4 puzzle. If I were to explain every detail the video would be forty minutes long.

By assuming people aren't noobs, I can cut the video length in half, and it's a lot easier to get into the explanation as intermediate solvers.

I'll take your 6/10 though. Thanks.

  • Ive figured out the only way to pop an ES cube. All you do is that you loosen it just a little and start turning that face and its surronding faces. And after a bit, it should either pop or get extremely loose.

  • ... the 3x3 was better out of the box than my white diy, but of course my white diy is better now, but i lubed the rubiks 3x3, and it it damn close to my diy, so i dont know if i just got lucky, or if rubiks is stepping up there game

  • I heard that they re-released the 4x4 with a better mechanism.. I don't know much about it though. I should get a new one, in that case. :)

  • i recently bought a 4x4 from wal-mart rubiks brand, and there are only 10 dollars now, well at least here, and then i bought a 3x3 for 10 dollars also.. same as 4x4 xD, but the 3x3 was in a super small package, it was like just vaccum sealed plastic and a tiny piece of carboard above it that said rubiks cube, but it is a rubiks brand 3x3. but anyway what surprised me was, the 4x4 was amazing! ive solved it like 100 times, it about as good as an eastsheen, and there stickers havent peeled and...

  • Hey!!, that was pretty good... now, if you have a 5x5.....

  • are there other methods to solve the 4x4x4?

  • You bet your ass there is! There are many methods for the 4x4. To name a few, the Cage method, the K4 method, and the Columns method. Most people use Reduction.

  • I think people who think something is dumb, click on a video about that topic, watch it in it's entirety, and then complain that they didn't like it...

    ..are pretty fuckin' dumb.

  • Ha Ha Ha! NOT FUNNY!!

  • it's actually is lol

  • lol i agree, it was pretty funny

  • thanks it has really helped me

  • i want a 4x4x4 but i don't have any money

  • nice videos lance

  • Thanks Thomas!

  • my eastsheen 4x4 always popped thats why if i get a new i wont lube it

  • Did you try tightening the centers a bit?

  • your rubik's band 4x4 looks sweet with cubesmith texture tiles

  • lol see video description for links

  • Yeah, yeah.. I'm lazy. I'll put them up when all the parts are uploaded.

  • lol
