Van Jones is another utopist that doesn't have a clue how green tech works or to say doesn't work but like another false leader advocates if we just shut down the system which always results in violence some how magically the this wonder tech will appear
What Obama knows, but the broadcast news isn't telling you is, FoxNews, talk radio and the Internet have more collective clout than all the mainstream media, combined.
NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune... the list goes on.
Probably because it's dumbed down so that all those high school kids who can't pass the basic citizenship questions can follow along--while also getting the bonus of all the bimbettes reading the so-called "news."
The fact that Van Jones signed some petition years ago doesn't amount to a hill of beans. It is much easier to attack the man than it is to refute his ideas.
Actually, the petition is tremendously significant. Not only did he sign the thing, he was an organizer for a 9-11 Truth conference, and spoke at the conference.
Now, Obama could well have supported him when this "truth" came to light, but Obama wanted nothing to do with Jones after the story became public.
Most important, the "attack" on Van Jones consisted of nothing more than a replay of his comments on video, and the fact of the petition signature.
A lot of that organizing was because of concern that the 9-11 Commission was going to just be a gigantic white wash. A lot of people were signing things to pressure the investigation to be substantive even if they aren't the continuing "truthers" who are still convinced of a conspiracy.
Oh, sort of like those who declared themselves "communists" back in the 20s and 30s, only later to insist they were just sympathetic to some vague ideal.
You are your friends. Who you hang out with speaks volumes about you. And, when you not only sign a petition, but become an official sponsor, organizer and speaker, little wiggle room is left.
I have no idea why the right was so incensed about this man, other than the fact that he disagrees with them. Still, would it have killed them to lay off? Oh, who am I kidding.

The right wing can't argue the facts, so it attacks the character, usually dredging up ancient history.

Eh? Tell us about "ancient history".

Lay off him? Why didn't you lay off Sarah Palin? Or Dick Cheney?
This guy was a self-avowed Marxist, making policy for the White House with zero accountability.
All conservatives did was show his own words to the public. His own words, in context.
Never censor the Left. Their unguarded words are our best weapon against them.
