I agree with your that paying money for it and playing it 24/7 is a waste of time but I think the vast majority of people use it as a harmless distraction. For example, I check in on mine a couple of times a day while I'm writing up papers or researching. This consumes a whopping 5-10 minutes of my life. As for launching attacks at 3am in general the people doing that live in a different time zone.

because you can create one of them only in your town

so you can create palace or residence

you are not allowed to have a palace and residence in the same village, otherwise you can't level up them :) Even look in the palace and residence building guide in the manual

You can only have one of the two in each village. I built a palace first and I kinda regret it now, it will be way cheaper to get the residence to lvl 10 rather than the palace to lvl 10.

Well sorry to break everyone's heart but I played Travian for a good long while. I even bought gold to enjoy it more. Then...I found out...you can win the fucking game. Which means The SERVER restarts and you lose everything and it resets. Before anyone tells me I am wrong...it fucking happened. I was there and I watched it happen and I quit the game after that. No one wants to play and have their hard work just flushed because they did not know you could win or some strong player won. Its shit.
