Watsup Youtube people i really need some help getting on this game so i downloaded this game i click on it and it says patch 4.0.5 souls of the past and magic of runes then at the middle bottom it says start game i click on it and it makes a black box around my computer for about 3 seconds and then it goes away i repeated this process about 5 times and it always does the same if you have any ideas on what i can do please message me or like this so everyone can see this comment - thanks!
ok, i need some help here. im currently playing allods online and im enjoying the heck out of it! but what concerns me is the "shop players" wich are op cus the spend real money on runes. therefore im a bit intrested in changing mmo to a game that doesnt have this problem.

@mustangloloskoalast it is free but has a cash shop that becomes a neccesity that you buy from when u reach level 50. the developers got greedy and made it so if you wanna run a high level instance you need some really nice twinked gear that you have to make yourself with cash shop items.

Permanent will cost Diamonds....

i like rom better than wow (no offense) because rom is free and wow you have expansion packs that take over a day to install and it costs like 30$ for 1 expansion pak.
This game is basically a WoW clone. I believe this was the designers intent. Basically, if you like WoW but are either bored of it, or you just don't want to play $15 a month plus other fees, RoM is for you. Also you won't have to deal with Blizzard and what they call "customer service".

RoM is for certain a recommendation. It provides a lot of rich content for a free game, a lot more than many other free games. WoW clone? Maybe, maybe not... but an amazing game world, great graphics, rich storylines and quests, 2 races, 6 trades and 8 classes, dual-class combinations, dungeon raids, PvP, battlefield, guild siege, housing and pet system, etc etc all for FREE? Definitely worth trying!

@justheCurious1 Its completely free to play which is really cool. The things you pay for are more along the lines of customizing your toon. Ex: buying mounts, dying armor, "fancy" clothes, pets, etc etc. Simple answer yes its free.

You seem to have only played MMORPG's, which kinda adds to the theory you have an addiction to WoW. Statistics really only hold power in actual professionals, like scientists, so using obviously biased ones really have no use. I can download hundreds or even thousands of GB's, and believe it or not, I have a discount on WoW that gives me 60% off on each payment (can't tell you how or else everyone would know), I have played Everquest (sucked) and played RoM (sucked even more than EQ). 75% of EQ players quit to play WoW last year, and 65% of RoM players quit to play WoW even if they could barely afford it. It's not an addiction, it's just better than other games.

Sorry to burst your bubbles guys, but once World of Warcraft : Cataclysm comes out, everyone who plays RoM, LoL, Aion, Etc., will stop playing those games and move onto WoW. Even ones who can't afford WoW will be playing because they will eventually get jobs and use that money JUST for WoW. Polls online state that 98% of all online gamers will play WoW by Cataclysm, the other 2% are dumb-fucks that don't know what a real game is. FACT!
@OhmegadJT Right, may as well take a crack at your challenge: First of all the only reason that WoW is so popular is because it is made by Blizzard, who made the classics of Warcraft 1 and 2 (3 maybe as well) and from that comes trust and nostalgia. From this popularity comes the addicting grind, like a high-priced espresso, with just repetitive gameplay and obscene prices getting marked up thanks to Kotick. At least with RoM, at the very LEAST they are getting the same for a reasonable price.

I think both are the best. Wow is slightly better in gameplay, but Runes of Magic has a critical feature Wow doesn't - It's free.

You seem to have only played MMORPG's, which kinda adds to the theory you have an addiction to WoW. Statistics really only hold power in actual professionals, like scientists, so using obviously biased ones really have no use. As for the discount, that is highly unlikely, unless you have a person in high places in Blizzard or have some GOOD hacker friends.

Anyways, in the case you are a troll, let me feed you more. I never stated below they were the same, I said in the LEAST they were the same. You're also stating that you happily spend...$360 a YEAR on a game, with around 10GB of downloadable patches? At a guess the only reason you would be content with this is that it's the only game you've played.

I have a state of the art computer. I can download hundreds or even thousands of GB's, and believe it or not, I have a discount on WoW that gives me 60% off on each payment (can't tell you how or else everyone would know), I have played Everquest (sucked) and played RoM (sucked even more than EQ). 75% of EQ players quit to play WoW last year, and 65% of RoM players quit to play WoW even if they could barely afford it. It's not an addiction, it's just better than other games.

Sorry to burst your bubbles guys, but once World of Warcraft : Cataclysm comes out, everyone who plays RoM, LoL, Aion, Etc., will stop playing those games and move onto WoW. Even ones who can't afford WoW will be playing because they will eventually get jobs and use that money JUST for WoW. Polls online state that 98% of all online gamers will play WoW by Cataclysm, the other 2% are dumb-fucks that don't know what a real game is. FACT!

@OhmegadJT Right, may as well take a crack at your challenge: First of all the only reason that WoW is so popular is because it is made by Blizzard, who made the classics of Warcraft 1 and 2 (3 maybe as well) and from that comes trust and nostalgia. From this popularity comes the addicting grind, like a high-priced espresso, with just repetitive gameplay and obscene prices getting marked up thanks to Kotick. At least with RoM, at the very LEAST they are getting the same for a reasonable price.
