@carrerabe The Whites are as good as a normal Somniferum Strain gets. But the Izmir Afghans aren't normal. They are beyond. They bleed until there's nowhere on the pod that hasn't been sliced.

@MadBull149 Perfectly legal to grow in all U.S. states for floral and decorative purposes. I have even purchased Papaver Somniferum plant Starts at my local grocer.

Do you only grow somniferum poppies,do you ever grow any oriental poppies as well.

When is the bes time to plant the seeds? Also when it comes to milking when should it be done? Is it three small verticle cuts per head in the morning and then collect the brown in the evening? What if it rains?

I'm growing them in the UK, sometimes we do get hot summers. My dad who is an avid gardener is helping me grow them. He knows what it is and wants to make poppy tea.

on average, if the plants are given enough space and good luck, how many pods do the persian whites put out? got a whole lot of em' right now. their about a foot and a half or so, not ready to flower yet.

Nice Poppies I like the Heirloom Pure White poppies and the White Cloud poppies.The pods from the Heirloom Pure White poppies look like the China White pods.
