I got my gtx470 two days ago and i used to have two 9600gt SLI, it used to work better before, 9600 gt are faster than 470, now i have gtx as main gpu and the 9600gt as phisics, stil not seeing any improvement.

Actually nVidea are way better then ATI. if u dont believe me go check gtx 295 which is kinda "old" so to say compared with the latest ATI 5970 (i think) and nVidea's performance is way ... way better then the ATI's. I'm nVidea fan and i know that they create incredible technology. Actually i cant wait for DX12 lol sounds cool :)

@LAAGGY lol they're releasing them now, the 6850 and 6870 being the replacements for the 5830 and 5850 (respectively) and the 6950 and 6970 replacing the 5870 and 5970 respectively. It has been shown the 6870 infact gets better tessellation performance than the 5870! (despite the lower specs) so I think the high-end 6 series will be interesting to look at

I think you should get a 5870 or even a 5970 it the price is almost the same, these cards are still better then the new ones. But you should check out for yourself

@ANFTAMMI4EVER even so, ATI is much cheaper, and only about 5% slower on average, so with six months ahead, and still competitively priced, ATI had nothing to worry about until the nVidia GTX460 came along which shattered some notions (nearly 100% sli scaling, almost unheard of until now)

@ANFTAMMI4EVER .... Efficiently? The 480 runs Crysis at 85 degrees and takes your own power plant to use. That is hardly efficient....Also, being loyal to a brand is stupid. The 5000 series was the best money could buy, then seven months later the 400 series was (if you can deal with the heat and power consumption) the best money could buy. Soon ATI will likely be back on top, then nVidia will be on top and it goes on and on. Being loyal to either brand is a great way to waste your money.

I don't really care how many people prefer ATI over Nvidia, all I know is that both corporations are into massive marketing and ATI had it in their minds to beat Nvidia to it first. Development takes as long as it takes, you can't rush these things. It sounds to me that ATI were probably under a lot of pressure while making their new model while Nvidia, like Valve, prefer a smooth working and fully functional product.
